Matilde Valente Rosa Partner Graduate in Applied Mathematics and Computation by Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (2011). Master in Statistics from the University of Bristol (2012), and postgraduate in System Dynamics by Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (online course, 2011). Currently, she is conducting the doctoral program in Information Management, with specialization in Statistics and Econometrics, by Instituto Superior de Estatística e Gestão de Informação, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Her education was complemented with two online courses: Statistical Reasoning for Public Health: Estimation, Inference, & Interpretation, from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2014); and Social Entrepreneurship, from the University of Oxford (2014). As a consultant of the General Directorate of Health, at the Information and Analysis Department (2012-2014), she developed a vast work of database management and analysis of information and she was the author of more than twenty-five publications. Since 2012, she has been requested to teach Epidemiology at Faculdade de Medicina of Universidade de Lisboa and Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal. Besides, she has also been giving classes of Research Methods in the national health centre of Sete Rios. She was the author of more than fifteen papers presented in several well-known national and international congresses, having also been presenter on some of these. She has also additional certifications such as the Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) from the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (2012); a course in SPSS AMOS, from PSE – Produtos e Serviços de Estatística, Lda; and a course in Optimization and Management of Data in Excel, from the Direcção-Geral da Qualificação dos Trabalhadores em Funções Públicas (INA). Actual Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the non-governmental organization for development WACT - We Are Changing Together. Since 2010, along with WACT, she has been developing a relevant experience in the social sector with the coordination of multiple projects promoting social integration both in S. Tomé and Príncipe and Portugal in the slum Bairro Padre Cruz.
