Visit to Macau Government Printing Bureau
Centre for Law Studies arranged a visit to the Macau Government Printing Bureau on 24 July, 2013
to have discussion on a new publication. We visited their printing department and have more understanding on their printing process. Our textbook “Direito Internacional Privado” (Private International Law)
was in progress during our visit.
The Macau Law promoted with the Hong Kong Book Fair
On 22 July 2013, Prof. Lok Wai Kin and Prof. Iau Teng Pio, the writers of the new book of Macau
Legal Books, were specially invited by Macao Foundation to give a lecture at the Hong Kong Book Fair.
They explained the past and present of Macau law to the readers, as well as the differences with Hong

Kong legal system. Through the Hong Kong Book Fair, the Macau law was further promoted to the domestic and foreign readers.
Award-winning Paper Published in Macau Law Review
A paper recently included in the Macau Law Review, a publication
edited and published by the Institute for Advanced Legal Studies under the
Faculty of Law, University of Macau, received a research achievement
award from Cheng Kung University’s College of Social Sciences. Macau
Law Review has also entered into a collaboration agreement with Peking
University’s legal database, in an attempt to explore more channels of circulation, to convert paper publications into electronic format, and to
strengthen exchange between the academic and publishing sectors in Macao and mainland China.
