This curricular structure is coherent with the curricular unit¿s goals, namely the specif ones, since it allows to: - Have a very strong knowledge about the basic notions of Family Law. - Distinguish the civil marriage from the catholic one. - Know the requirements of civil marriage, in particular, the matrimonial capacity and the consent. - Know the requirements of civil marriage, in particular, the matrimonial capacity and the consent. - Understand the personal and patrimonial effects of marriage. - Understand the legal regime of marriage modification and extinction. - Know the: legal regime of nonmarital relationships; the filliation establishment ways and effects; the adoption and the "apadrinhamento civil" legal regimes. - Know the legal regime of support obligations. - Know and deal with the Minors Law legal regime. Syllabus: I - BASIC NOTIONS OF FAMILY LAW II - MARRIAGE III - NONMARITAL RELATIONSHIPS IV - FILIATION V - ADOPTION LEGAL REGIME VI - "APADRINHAMENTO CIVIL" - SHORT NOTICE VII - SUPPORT OBLIGATIONS VIII - MINORS LAW Objectives: Expository method: Through the dissertation of the program contents and projection examples; Interrogative method: Giving emphasis to the student participation, asking questions, open or closed, in order to help student to develop a critical spirit and more autonomy; Active method: Analysis and resolution of practical and theoretical issues; Preparation/lecture/discussion of topics to stimulate students discussion. Method Statement: Analysis of cases; resolution of practical cases by teachers in order to enable students to a independent resolution; Assessment Methods: The evaluation consists of a final theory test on all matter taught ((minimum grade: 9.5).
