O tratamento dos investimentos internacionais no direito internacional
RESUMO
Neste trabalho, enfocamos o tratamento dispensado pelo Direito Internacional aos
investimentos internacionais. Partimos do exame do fenômeno da globalização,
enfocando, nesse contexto, a relevância dos investimentos internacionais, cuja definição é
minuciosamente estudada. Outrossim, sem perder de vista a questão da soberania,
abordamos os instrumentos convencionais relacionados aos investimentos internacionais,
bem como os princípios gerais de Direito Internacional aplicáveis à espécie.
ABSTRACT
This work focuses the treatment given by international law to international investments.
The study begins from the examination of globalizations process, focalizing, in this
context, the relevance of international investments, which definition is carefully studied.
Besides, without forgetting the matter of sovereignty the conventional instruments related
to international investments are approached, as well as international law principles
applicable to the specimen.
