The Beira Serra is a development association, established on November 3,
1994.
Their legal status is that of a non-profit association.
Throughout its existence, the main activity has been aimed at promoting
local development and its geographical area of intervention has been the
sub-region of Cova da Beira.
Its mission is to promote development and cohesion, whether economic,
social, cultural or environmental of local communities and territories.
In the field of training and education, the objectives of Beira Serra are the
development of a system of specialized training and qualified, to enable the
socio-professional integration of people and qualification of its human
resources.
Procura parceiros
NGO's - non-governmental organizations, based in any country of the
Desired partner European Union, interested in developing projects under the
Program of Lifelong Learning, Grundtvig sub-program. Entities that
promote formal, non formal or informal adult training/education in
order to help to improve their knowledge and their expertise and to
facilitate the process of inclusion in society.

Project idea and key
words
The main objective of the project will be to promote the exchange of
experiences and transfer of practices between educators in the field
of adult training, specifically in the area of social inclusion, in order to
devise novel methods, new pedagogical approaches and teaching
techniques and training for public particularly excluded from society,
from particularly vulnerable minorities. This exchange will be made
of each participating country to the others in a workshops, seminars
and through video conferencing. In order to improve the quality of
education and equity in access to education, as well as to improve
the education allowing for a gradual integration and independence
for people with problematic personal paths, victims of some form of
social discrimination, for which the adult training will result in a
facilitator instrument of socialization and inclusion.
