2. Check with whole group if they understood what the video is about (Internet safety.) Explain
the expressions to the whole group, aiming at the ones who couldn’t get the idea.
3. Pair up sts and ask them to work with their partner. Play video again, pausing after each tip,
and lettting pairs check what they understood.
4. When it’s over, click the exercises link: it will lead you to a “check the boxes” activity. Let them
do it in pairs and check the answers together.

Activity 11: Adverbs of manner - practice.

Link 1- Ss are supposed to identify the adverbs in a list of 10 sentences. The key comes right after
the exercise, thus, scroll down carefully, so as not to spoil the activity.
Scroll down and find a set of rules. Read this with whole group. Make sure they understand.
Call students attention to the list of adjectives as they are going to make adverbs of manner out of
the adjectives on this list. The 2nd activity is a fill in the blanks exercise.
Link 2 – Ss must match the picture and senence to the suitable adveb of manner.

You’ll see a “castle” with ten “cells”. The upper row, when clicked, will show you a picture,
representing an action. You have to find the match, among the “cells” in the bottom row, which
provide the pronunciation of the actions when clicked.
Tip: the game is not timed, so keep a brisk pace, as it’s got two “levels”.
Tip2:Turn up the volume!
Tip 3: You should recycle pronunciation with the whole group.

Students need to know how to register as they are supposed to use it for the last part of the
challenge.
Tip: you can ask each student to create an account or simply use one account for the whole
group. Just beware as all of them will have the password and access to their friend’s work. If you
think a Ss might want to spoil the other’s work, ask them to create separate accounts.
Very important: you should create your own account before you try it with students, so that you
don’t get too lost while teaching them how to register.
