CALL FOR PAPERS PERSEU # 10 “Workers organizations: from the resistance societies to the contemporary syndicalism” São Paulo, June 2013. General information Although the so called “globalization” has produced a certain cooling in the publication of works about the history of the left wing, the academic and non-academic production continues intense in this area. In the university sphere, at History and Social Sciences fields, there are solid academic groups, from local and national character, producing and discussing about it, including the production about the Brazilian “Workers’ party”, for which the documentation of the Sérgio Buarque de Holanda’s Center of the Perseu Abramo’s Foundation has a lot contributed to. However, if there is a production, we are forced to recognize that there is not a proportional diffusion. One of the goals of PERSEU (that has reached its tenth edition) is to contribute to fill this gap. This magazine intends to be the channel of diffusion of researches and reflections about the left wing – especially the Brazilian one, but not exclusively – treated by History and Social Sciences. Therefore, PERSEU proposes the theme “Workers organizations: from the resistance societies to the contemporary syndicalism” to its next Dossier. It will be received articles that approach these themes, as well as other texts that talk about distinct subjects from what is proposed to the Dossier and that suit the editorial profile of the magazine and thus can compose the Articles section. Calling articles The collaborations are composed of unpublished articles from invited authors, beyond unpublished texts sent spontaneously in the conditions and deadlines established by this edict. The material received will be evaluated by the Editorial Council and peerreviewed ad hoc, which will decide if the publication of the received contributions will occur or not.
