A structured process of internationalization is
the key to the business development of Casais.
An expansion initiated in 1994 in Germany,
based on adapting to the local culture and
focusing on strategic partnerships for a solid
presence, and which also leads the Casais brand
to Angola, Belgium, Gibraltar, Holland, Morocco,
Mozambique, Russia and, since 2011, to Brazil
and Cape Verde. Each new market emerges
founded as an ambitious project with particular
needs and characteristics and new source of
motivation and improvement.

clé du développement entrepreneuriale de Casais.
Une expansion qui débute en 1994, en Allemagne,
basée sur l’adaptation à la culture locale et
privilégiant les partenariats stratégiques pour
une présence solide, transporte la marque Casais

Maintaining the family basis, the Group’s core
business company - Casais - Engenharia e
Construção is managed by the second and third
generations, being the Board of Directors chaired
by the eldest son of Master Casais, José da
Silva Fernandes, and the Executive Committee,
by Antonio Carlos Fernandes Rodrigues, the
founder’s eldest grandson.

national endogenous potential in the field
of small hydroelectric plants (mini-hydro
plants, up to 10MW) under an agreement
with GalpEnergia and with the perspective
of construction of a significant number of
hydroelectric production units.

alguns exemplos implementados e testados com

considering the significant expression in terms
of energy bill in the sector, Opertec has launched
an innovative solution in the field of intelligent
management of street lighting and exterior
lighting, based on a point-to-point technology,
offering some implemented and tested examples
with proven results in terms of efficiency and
flexibility of operation.
Dans le domaine du concept de l’efficiency lighting,
considérant l’expression significative en terme
de facture énergétique dans le secteur, Opertec a
lancé sur le marché une solution innovatrice dans

de edifícios sustentáveis de raiz e que pretende
ser o instrumento para alavancagem do negócio,
para fidelização dos clientes e para visibilidade
da proposta de valor.
O projeto prevê uma oferta qualificada e
diversificada de produtos, em função do seu
desempenho quanto ao nível de sustentabilidade,
desde o nível superior – GGB Premium -, ao
nível standard da marca – GGB Energy PLUS -,
passando pelo nível intermédio GGB Energy PRO
e também do tipo de intervenção. Prevê ainda a
oferta de um serviço completo e integrado ao
cliente numa ótica de ciclo de vida do edifício,

perspective of a “zero carbon” building and the
logic of “Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB),
developed to promote sustainable buildings
from scratch and which is meant to be the tool to
leverage business, for client loyalty and for visibility
of the proposition of value.
Dans une perspective de bâtiment “ zéro carbone”,
et dans la logique des “Nearly Zero Energy
Buildings (NZEB), il surgit la marque GO GREEN
BUILDINGS, développée par la promotion de
bâtiments durables qui sont un tremplin pour ce
secteur d’affaire, pour la fidélisation des clients et
pour la visibilité de l’offre.
The project includes a qualified and diverse offering
of products, according to their performance
in terms of the level of sustainability, from the
superior level - GGB Premium, the intermediate
level - GGB Energy PRO and to the standard level
of the brand - GGB Energy PLUS and also the
type of intervention. It also included the provision
of a comprehensive and integrated service to
the client in the perspective of the building’s life
cycle, including alternative voluntary independent
certification of sustainability based on national and
/ or international standards of high recognition.

manual and mechanical street sweeping and city
cleaning for some municipalities.

Com uma unidade industrial, a laborar desde
2008 em Valongo, Portugal, que integra uma
central de triagem e valorização de resíduos
de construção e demolição (RC&D), estão em
curso novos projetos que alargam a atividade a
todo o território nacional.
With an industrial plant established in 2008 in
Valongo, Portugal, which comprises a plant for
sorting and recycling waste from construction
and demolition (C&DW), new projects are in
course which will expand the activity to the
whole national territory.
Avec une unité industrielle en fonctionnement
depuis 2008 à Valongo, Portugal, qui intègre un
centre de tri et de valorisation de résidus de la
construction et de la démolition (RC&D), de
nouveaux projets qui élargissent l’activité à tout
le territoire national sont en cours.
Paralelamente, concretizam-se também apostas
nas áreas de produção de combustível sólido
recuperado (CSR) e combustível derivado de
resíduos (CDR), bem como no tratamento de
resíduos orgânicos com entrada em produtivo de um
projeto integrado inovador no mercado dos resíduos.
In parallel, projects are also being accomplished
in the areas of production of Solid Recovered
Fuel (CSR) and waste derived fuel (CDR), as well
as in the treatment of organic waste with the
start-up of and innovative integrated project in
the waste market.
Parrallèlement, des paris se concrétisent aussi
dans les secteurs de production de combustible
solide récupéré (CSR) et de combustible dérivé
de résidus (CDR), ainsi que dans le traitement
de résidus organiques avec l’entrée en
fonctionnement d’un projet intrégré innovateur
