On the first day there was an introduction followed by a lecture on “Carta
Consulta”. The importance of multi-institutional involvement and the involvement
of the community was highlighted. In the afternoon there was a presentation on
mariculture in Santa Catarina, Brasil.
On the second day, a presentation on “Formulação de projetos” was given. Here
some of the topics discussed involved the planning of the project as well as
reporting. In the afternoon the execution of the projects was discussed and why
some projects fail. Here was highlighted the importance of working as a team.
On the last day, “Tarefas do Gerente do Projeto” was presented and there was
mention of the importance of documentation and auditing. In the afternoon an
evaluation of the projeto was done. Most people felt that the information which
was given during this workshop was very important. As one member of the
audience put it the content of the workshop went above and beyond their
expectations. However, the time was too short, it did not give the opportunity to
have any simulations, this was also due to the diversity of the group.
Prof. Dr. Edemar and Sérgio were very flexible and during the presentations the
audience was allowed to ask questions and in some cases contribute with their
points of view and experiences. They also fattened up the presentations by
talking about real life situations and their own experiences, which made them
more interesting.
Tea and lunch were provided. CD-ROM were given to some of the audience who
did not have flashes (USB storage devices), and everyone received a certificate
of participation.
