Abstract
This work shows the methods and pedagogical approaches used in Adapted
Physical Education, and the teacher's role in the inclusion of students with
educational needs. The objective of the research was to analyze and
understand such approaches - both under its theoretical and practical aspect used in Adapted Physical Education (APE) in order to help future professionals
in working with students with special needs. The author made use of literature
to review the subject matter, drawn from books and scientific articles First it is
important to say that the EFA should be a program that aims to include, based
on a program of physical culture, appropriate to the interests , capacities and
limitations of students. Secondly, the teacher must be open to change,
contemplating the differences and be a subject welcoming, respecting diversity
that presents itself as working with EFA requires transformations and changes.
The third step is to know the student with special needs, whatever it is (physical,
cognitive, etc..), Just so he can do good planning, based on the objectives to be
achieved. Valuing classes involving cooperation is a relevant time for all, since
there is no need for this interaction by students. Regarding methods, it is
important to vary them and expand them as a way of understanding by students
with special needs, to be clear, express themselves well. Finally, the conclusion
we reached is that there is a method or a specific approach to work EFA, but
ways of adapting the work characteristics of each student. What is important is
the teacher to be open-minded for change that will be required.
