STUDENT SELECTION FOR A PhD PROGRAMME IN ASTROPHYSICS THIRD ACADEMIC TERM OF 2015 The Astrophysics Postgraduate Programme at National Institute for Space Research (INPE), Brazil, is undertaking a selection procedure for its PhD course with initial date at the third academic term of 2015. The Programme’s research lines are: High Energy Astrophysics, Optical and Infrared Astrophysics, Observational Cosmology, Gravitational Waves and Solar Physics. The Programme makes available 8 scholarships from the Brazilian CAPES Foundation. REGISTRATION SCHEDULE AND SELECTION ! Third Academic Term (starts on September 28th 2015) " Registration from June 22nd to July 24th # The documentation should be sent directly to INPE’s Postgraduate School Office. " Physics Exam and Oral Examination on August 3rd and 4th, respectively. # In person at INPE’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, or remotely. Candidates should hold university degrees in Astronomy, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences or Engineering. The selection includes a physics exam and an oral examination as well as the analyses of curriculum vitae, academic records and reference letters.
