NOTICE
Banif – Banco Internacional do Funchal, S.A. informs about the
resignation of member of the Board of Directors
Banif – Banco Internacional do Funchal, S.A. (Banif) informs, in accordance with
paragraph a) of article 3 of Regulation no. 5/2008 of CMVM, about the resignation
from its Board of Directors of Mr. António Carlos Custódio de Morais Varela, who had
been appointed by Decree no. 3454-A/2013 from the Minister of State and Finance,
published on the 4th of March 2013 on the II Series of the Diário da República (no.
44). The resignation was presented on the 5th of September.
In the terms of the resignation letter, the abovementioned resignation is the result of
an incompatibility, according to no. 61 of the Organic Law of Banco de Portugal, with
the position to which Mr. António Varela was appointed through the Resolution of the
Council of Ministers no. 23-A/2014.
