RR2011_ENG_0720.indd 2 02/08/11 16:16 Dear Odebrecht Organization Member, We have the pleasure of presenting the main results that all our subsidiaries garnered in 2010. These results show solid progress toward the Global Organization we aim to build – an Organization that is made up of Knowledgeable People committed to sustainable development, and a leader in the businesses and countries in which it operates. Today, we are more than 120,000 people strong, people from over 65 nationalities active in 20 countries, with increasingly internationalized and diversified operations. As for the future, our plans are just as challenging, and it could not be otherwise. Our greatest legacy, the Odebrecht Entrepreneurial Technology (TEO), with which we are building the present and laying the foundations for the future, inspires us to continue serving clients responsibly and cheerfully while contributing to sustainable development in our local communities. According to the Odebrecht Organization’s Vision for 2020, by the end of this decade we will be present in more than 30 countries and have 300,000 Members. Like today, they will be sharing our clients’ dreams, offering them integrative and innovative solutions and generating wealth for everyone. 3 RR2011_ENG_0720.indd 3 02/08/11 16:16 Subsidiaries Holding Company: Odebrecht S.A. Sustainability has been an integral part of our teams’ practices since the Odebrecht Organization’s inception in 1944. Its founder, Norberto Odebrecht, began writing and systemizing the principles, concepts and criteria of the Odebrecht Entrepreneurial Technology (TEO) for the first time in the book Points of Reference, published in 1970. The subject was firmly established as a principle of TEO in Survival, Growth and Perpetuity in 1981. Today, based on the Organization’s Sustainability Policy, our teams seek to hone their expertise and business practices and make them ever more complete, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the countries and regions in which they are active. 6 RR2011_ENG_0720.indd 6 02/08/11 16:16 The five dimensions of Sustainability at Odebrecht C d nd issem his pre inat we tor serv e art ba ser y of e the istic d is ng ck ve, eac th grou whi h nat tinctive eir io l e n life ds in integ n and sty to t rating h les and e Organi zation cust oms.
