World Water Forum 2012 — Mediterranean
cross-continental process: Collecting conributions/solutions, Marseille, France
Every three years since 1997, the World Water Forum mobilises creativity, innovation, competence and
know-how in favour of water.
It gathers all stakeholders around today’s local, regional and global issues that cannot be undertaken without
all stakeholders into a common framework of goals
and concrete targets to reach.
In the framework of the Mediterranean cross-continental process of the next World Water Forum, to
be held in Marseille next 12-17 March 2012, 8 specific regional targets have been identified; we are now
collecting contributions in order to present during
the Forum the existing and/or innovative solutions,
and to get if possible commitments on their achievement (solution = case studies illustrating real solutions that are sufficiently relevant to be selected for
the Forum).

2. Use of non-conventional resources
3. Improving water governance
4. Urban and Industrial Wastewater collection and treatment
The goal of the 6th World Water Forum is to tackle the
challenges our world is facing and to bring water high
on all political agendas. There will be no sustainable
development while the water issues remain unsolved.
The 6th World Water Forum innovates with:
• A Platform of solutions, to last beyond 2012, for
all to consult and contribute to.
• A roadmap to achieve concrete commitments, involving experts and decision-makers from different sectors and regions of the world.
• A new commission, “Grassroots & Citizenship”,
to involve and mobilise civil society.
• A strengthening of the political
process especially through
significant contributions
and commitments from
parliamentarians and local
and regional authorities
from around the world.

Scrambled Africa
Over 20 years ago, concerned famers’ groups in Kenya and Burkina
Faso began to adopt new measures
to conserve soil and water and to
re-establish trees in their fields. This
book returns to the same communities, and some of the same people, in Kenya and Burkina Faso to
document developments since the
original filming.
Narrative of the evolution of the constitution that was put into effect as
Kenya’s history as a colonial possession
came to an end. It details the attempts
of the colony’s political elite and the
British Colonial Office to find a constitutional means to move Kenya to
the status of ind pendent state. As this
process moved forward, political ethni
ity assumed central significance.
Mark Milbank was born in England at the onset of World War
II, before emigrating to Kenya
with his parents during the postwar depression.
The accompanying book expounds
upon the powerful messages in the
film and describes the technologies
employed by the communities, provides hard data to support their testimonies, and looks at the current
challenges of soil conservation in the
context of climate change.
This produced an environment in
which demands for a federal const
tution, popularly termed majimbo,
came to dominate constitutional discourse. Deep disagreement among
Kenya’s political elite over this issue
marked the remainder of the colonial
period. That elite, now represented by
the Kenya African National Union
(KANU) and the Kenya African
Democratic Union (KADU), advocated different co stitutional paths to
independence. KADU’s demands for
a majimbo constitution dominated
discourse during 1962 and early 1963,
but deep disagreement characterized
the constitutional negotiations.
The book and film package, will also
inform development policy makers, agricultural extension workers,
NGO workers, and the broader development community about a notable achievement in participatory
agricultural development.

Perfil do Candidato
- Formação Superior em Gestão/Economia ou Engenharia Informática/Sistemas;
- Experiência profissional mínima de 2 anos;
- Bons conhecimentos de inglês;
- Sólidos conhecimentos de Contabilidade e Legislação Fiscal Angolana;
- Certificação Primavera;
- Bons conhecimentos de informática (SQL Server,
VB, Primavera ou outro ERP internacional);
- Forte sentido de organização e responsabilidade;
- Residência na Provincia de Luanda;
- Disponibilidade imediata.

Summary of the funding opportunity
Funding will be available for research projects addressing
the theme of Cultural Encounters that involve at least
three researchers from three different eligible countries.
The Call will be formally announced in early February

Formação Universitária em Gestão de Recursos Humanos
Quem pode candidatar-se?
Numa 1ª fase, as instituições, podendo submeter
diferentes tipos de projectos em parceria:
Experiência
Mínima de três anos na área de Recursos Humanos.
- Redes de Formação Inicial “Multi-partner” que consistem em projectos que envolvem 3 parceiros estabelecidos em pelo menos 3 Estados-Membros/Estados Associados do PQ, como parceria mínima, sendo ainda
possível a participação de outros Países, nomeadamente,
Países Terceiros ou Organizações Internacionais.
- European Industrial Doctorates (EID) trata-se de um
projecto piloto, sendo o seu orçamento de 20 M€: são projectos que envolvem 2 participantes, uma instituição académica e uma instituição do sector privado, estabelecidos
em 2 Estados-Membros ou Estados-Associados diferentes.
- Innovative Doctoral Programmes (IDP): Um único
participante que coordena uma rede de parceiros associados. O participante deverá estar estabelecido num
Estado-Membro ou num Estado-Associado do PQ.
Aptidões
• Capacidade de conduzir e analizar inquéritos salariais;
• Capacidade de desenvolver politicas para uso interno;
• Bons conhecimentos em gestão de projectos;
• Conhecimentos sobre avaliação de funções;
• Capacidade de falar para vastas audiências incluindo directores dos departamentos;
• Capacidade de elaborar e analisar propostas, conduzir
apresentações e sessões de perguntas e respostas;
• Ter capacidade em apresentar resultados rápidos e
de forma eficiente;
• Possuir excelentes conhecimentos de informática
(Excel,Word, Visio, Outlook e Powerpoint, etc).
• Bons conhecimentos de Excel (analizar dados, gráficos, calculos estatisticos).
