Description of main achievements up to the present
Cooperation in different areas amongst the three regions developed following the signing of
Cooperation Agreements between Alentejo – Extremadura (1992) and Região Centro –
Extremadura (1994). At the same time, many projects were implemented thanks to European
financial instruments for cross border cooperation (INTERREG I, II, III and POCTEP).
WITHIN THE EUROACE
Creation of EUROACE’s website.
Creation of EUROACE’s observatory.
Future planned activities
Implemention of EUROACE’s strategy towards 2020.
Study on the “costs of context” in the Portuguese-Spanish border in the areas
of: Health, Communications and Transport proximity.
Advertising campaign to increase EUROACE’s visibility.
