Release Terravista Golf Course
The Terravista Golf Course, official 18-hole course, is located on the cliffs of Trancoso in
southern Bahia. It is considered one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world, and it’s
recognized for its quality of play, care for the course and fascinating landscapes. Besides the
course, the project has 2 condominiums houses, a private airport, helipad, and hotels like the
ClubMed. In 2014 the Resort Txai opens its doors, and will also become an excellent lodging
choice for the golfer.
The course: The Terravista Golf Course is a dynamic golf course, where the player can enjoy the
scenery of rain forest in the first 9 holes, and the sea and cliffs in the last 9 holes. The 14th hole,
the signature hole, is one of the postcards of Brazilian golf, where the player must hit the ball
from cliff to another. We have a few holes in one’s that made history! In the landscape the
player enjoys the amazing views and blue sea with white sand beaches of southern Bahia. The
course is equipped with golf carts, putting green, chipping green, toilets in the countryside,
driving range with 350 yards in length, bar at the driving range, availability for clubs rental and
caddies available to players.
The condominiums: Besides the structure of the course, Terravista has 2 condominiums houses;
the Condominium Villavista and the Condominium Terravista Golf Villas. The Condo Villavista
Golf is the most famous condominium between the two, and is where many business owners
and managers have a home. Architects like Sig Bergamim and David Bastos have signed houses
in the complex. The condominium has a total of 85 houses.
Private airport: The complex is equipped with a private airport, which lands to the most modern
aircrafts and has instruments for night landings, as well as helicopters. The airport has services
such as aircraft cleaning, take off and landing and also for aircraft parking. From Sao Paulo to
Terravista, it’s about 1h40 minutes by jet.
Hotels: Trancoso is one of the hottest beach destinations of Brazil, and has a wide variety of
hotels. The closest hotel of the course is the ClubMed Resort, however others like Estrela
D'agua, Uxua and Villas de Trancoso are excellent. Soon, the Txai that already under
construction in Terravista Golf Course , will be an exclusive option for golfers.
Theater: Theater of 1.100 seats, where the cultural event Música em Trancoso happens.
Acknowledgments: The Terravista Golf Course is recognized nationally and internationally. It
was voted the best golf course in Brazil by The Rolexinternational ranking also made the cover of
the annual ranking from Golf Digest, the most prestigious golf magazine in the world, an
amazing tribute to the Brazilian golf. Besides international recognition, the course is always
quoted in national rankings.
During a recent visit to Brazil, Alex Shoumatoff, an experienced golfer, journalist and contributor
to major publications such as Vanity Fair, Golf Digest, Esquire, Adirondack Life and New Yorker,
gave an interview to reporter Sandra Brazil, from the magazine Veja, which summed it up: "I've
played in over 500 courses and never have seen anything so beautiful." Shoumatoff was in Brazil
to write two articles on the topics of their specialty, golf and nature. At Terravista in he found
the ideal setting for his articles with perfect and smooth integration from the Golf Course and
the Mata Atlântica.
