João: Thank you headmaster. And we now call the EPE Project Coordinator of the Comenius
Best, Professor Joaquim Jorge
Joaquim Jorge: Once upon a time, there were five countries that wanted to be part of a story.
Thus began a journey together, aiming to share experiences, knowledge, traditions and to carry
out a survey of the most common names in each of these countries. The fulfillment of this dream
resulted in the adventure that began in the city of the coal mines, in the town of Velenja in ...
Slovenia.
Era uma vez cinco países que quiseram fazer parte de uma história. Assim se iniciou uma viagem em comum, cujo fim era a partilha de
experiências, saberes, tradições e o levantamento dos nomes mais usuais em cada um desses países. A concretização deste sonho resultou na
aventura que começou na cidade das minas de carvão, na cidade de Velenja, na …Eslovénia.

the Mediterranean, of the city of Limassol with its beautiful beaches. Our story became even

Joaquim Jorge: However, there was still much to unravel and to consolidate the story, we
returned to the starting point, Slovenia, to face the worst storm/snowfall in the last 50 years.
From the cold weather, we went back to the warm waters of the Mediterranean, more specifically,
to Mersin, a city located on the coast of ... Turkey.

da Gama, D. Afonso Henriques, Fernando Pessoa, Camões, Amália, Eusébio, Mourinho and
Cristiano Ronaldo, of beautiful beaches, sea, sun and hospitable people to write the final, or
perhaps the beginning of a journey of emotions, friendships, knowledge and, of course, sharing
feelings that we will never forget. The time has come to present ..... Portugal

E aqui estamos nós no país dos descobrimentos, de Vasco da Gama, de D. Afonso Henriques, de Fernando Pessoa, de Camões, de Amália,
Eusébio, Mourinho e Cristiano Ronaldo, de praias, mar, sol e gente hospitaleira a escrever o final, quem sabe o início, de uma caminhada de
emoções, amizades, conhecimento e, por certo, partilha de sentimentos jamais olvidados.

Joaquim Jorge: Joining small pieces/shreds of a gest as part of a document for future reference,
during the Comenius Project BEST, an Encyclopedia of Names and a Website were developed,
which are the evidence seeking to perpetuate our collective history
Juntando pequenos retalhos de uma gesta que se inscreve num documento para memória futura, durante o projecto Comenius BEST foram
desenvolvidos a Enciclopédia de Nomes e Website que são a marca que pretende perpetuar na nossa história coletiva.
João: After this “Comenius tale”, let´s continue our story, calling the General Coordinator of the
Best Project, Miran, who will present the products resulting from this path traced in common.

Maria: Thank you, Miran. It´s now time to deliver the certificates of participation. We would like to
call, again, to the stage, our headmaster - Antonio Conde, our Pedagogic Director - Sandra
Amorim and the educational councillor of Esposende Jaqueline Areias.
João: We ask for the presence of the Slovenian delegation on stage/ our friends from Slovenia
Maria: We ask for the presence of the Polish delegation on stage
João: We ask for the presence of the Cypriot delegation on stage
Maria: We ask for the presence of the Turkish delegation on stage
Maria: To end this session, we have the participation of one of our students - Rita Carvalho, who
is going to sing a Fado, Portugal’s national song,entitled "Chuva" (rain). This song is a theme
from the Portuguese fado singer Mariza, who is one of the stars of the new young generation of
fadistas.
