Objectivos Gerais:
Aplicar e interpretar, adequadamente, o quadro legal relativo à Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho.
Objectivos Específicos:
Após a conclusão desta Unidade Curricular, o estudante deverá ser capaz de:
a)Identificar as regras deontológicas e outros princípios a observar no exercício da profissão de Técnico Superior de
Segurança e Higiene do Trabalho;
b)Listar os trabalhos, actividades e agentes proibidos e condicionados a trabalhadores menores, trabalhadoras grávidas,
puérperas e lactantes, bem como as actividades/ agentes susceptíveis de implicar riscos para o património genético dos
trabalhadores e seus descendentes;
c)Associar as disposições fundamentais no âmbito do Direito do Trabalho, relacionadas com questões atinentes à
Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho;
d)Identificar os princípios fundamentais e o quadro legal que regem o sistema de prevenção na empresa, modalidades
de organização dos serviços de Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho e seu funcionamento.

General Objectives:
Apply and interpret adequately the legal framework concerning the Occupational Safety and Health at Work.
Specific Objectives:
After concluding this Curricular Unit, the student should be able to:
a)Identify the ethical rules and principles to be observed in the work of Technical Education of the Labor Safety and
Hygiene;
b)List the work, and prohibited activities and agents subject to minor workers, pregnant workers, mothers and infants as
well as activities / agents that may involve risks to the genetic heritage of workers and their descendants;
c)Involving the key provisions under the Labor Law, relating to matters pertaining to Safety and Health at Work;
d)Identify the basic principles and legal framework governing the system of prevention in the company, ways of organizing
the services of Safety and Health at Work and its operation. Program summary:
