DATE (do not change anything here, we’ll put a correct header each week)
From the Desk of
Father John
1. First Communions
This weekend we begin 3 weekends of First
Communions. It is wonderful to see so many young
people receiving Jesus for the first time. Their
enthusiasm challenges each one of us to remember that
the Eucharist is a great gift to us. I congratulate them and
their families. I would also like to thank the teachers in
our schools and the catechists who assisted in the Parish
program!
2. The Bishop’s Dinner
If you are thinking of attending the Bishop’s Dinner in
London on June 4th, and you would like to sit with
fellow parishioners, contact the office soon.
3. Auxillary Bishop Joseph Dabrowski CSMA
This past Tuesday, the episcopal ordination of Joseph
Dabrowski, CSMA, took place at the Cathedral in
London. We should keep him our prayers and thoughts.
4. Priestly Ordinations
The Priestly Ordination of Deacons Danny Santos, Don
Pumputus, Mark Maloney and Steve Marsh will take
place at the Cathedral on April 25th at 11:00 AM. You
are most welcome to attend this most joyful celebration.
Please keep our new priests in your prayers.
5. Parish Pastoral Council (PPC)
Every parish in the Diocese of London has been asked to
reflect on the Pastoral Plan of the diocese and establish
goals and objectives for the parish. In January, Dan
Moynihan of the diocese facilitated a meeting and the
PPC will continue to develop the goals and objectives
over the next few meetings.
6. Liturgy and the General Instruction of the Roman
Missal (GIRM)
Since September, the Liturgy Committee and the Music
Committee have been reviewing our liturgy vis-a-vis the
GIRM. In May, you will hear of the minor changes that
will be implemented to bring us in line with the
Universal Church and the Diocese.
Have a great week!
Fr John
Da mesa de Padre João
Hoje eu tenho alguns artigos para você!
Gostaria
2. Jantar do Bispo
3. Auxillary Bispo Joseph Dabrowski CSMA
Esta Terça-feira passada, a ordenação episcopal de
Joseph Dabrowski, CSMA, aconteceu na Catedral em
London. Devemos mantê-lo nas nossas orações e
pensamentos.
4. Ordenações Sacerdotais
A Ordenação Sacerdotal dos diáconos Danny Santos,
Don Pumputus, Mark Maloney e Steve Marsh vai
reunião e o Conselho Pastoral Paróquial vai continuar a
desenvolver as metas e objetivos nos próximos
encontros.
6. Liturgia e a Instrução Geral do Missal Romano
(GIRM)
