RESUMO
O presente trabalho refere-se ao estudo para identificação das principais bactérias
encontradas em orelhas de cães com otite bacteriana e apresentou como objetivo
determinar a ocorrência de otite bacteriana na população canina, enumerar as
principais causas e os principais sinais clínicos encontrados e citar as principais raças
acometidas. Foram coletadas amostras de secreção no ouvido de 100 animais no
período de 4 meses, onde 44 cães eram sadios e 56 eram doentes. As coletas foram
realizadas com a ajuda dos proprietários dos animais, com meio Stuart de cada um
dos ouvidos. Na sequência, as amostras foram identificadas, semeadas em Agar
sangue e Agar Mac Conkey e incubadas em estufa a 37 ºC por 24 horas. Devido a
dificuldade em se encontrar raças específicas, não obtivemos todas as raças
distribuídas igualmente. Concluiu-se que as bactérias Staphylococcus coagulase (+),
Serratia, Echerichia coli, Enterobacter e Staphylococcus coagulase (-) são freqüentes
em ouvidos de cães.

ABSTRACT
The present work refers to the study to identify the main bacteria found in the ears of
dogs with otitis and bacterial presented as objective to determine the occurrence of
bacterial otitis in the dog population, list the main causes and the main clinical signs
found and cite the major races affected. Secretion samples were collected in the ear of
100 animals in the 4-month period, where 44 dogs were healthy and 56 were patients.
The collections were made with the help of the owners of the animals, with half of each
of the Stuart ears. Subsequently, the samples were identified, seeded in blood agar
and MacConkey agar and incubated at 37 ° C for 24 hours. Due to the difficulty in
finding specific breeds, did not get all races equally distributed. It was concluded that
the bacteria Staphylococcus coagulase ( + ), Serratia , Escherichia coli , Enterobacter
and Staphylococcus coagulase ( - ) are frequent in the ears of dogs .
