Activities The Workshop presents different ways of interaction: Group Dynamics: Trough interaction games/ Contents Review Circles/ Food celebration/ Opening and cloture rituals. Presentations / Audiovisuals presentations: audiovisual presentations about design and building methods with Natural Materials/ Vision and Constructive techniques of Haut relief Murals in Clay/ Experience Sharing Direct Experimentation: Learning through self-experience of material manipulation and to make a piece of art in mural with clay or a constructive object. Living Together: Reflect it cooperation/lovely service/caring the communitarian space and food sharing. About the Workshop leader Javier Bonifaz, born in Lima, Peru, 17 february 1964, finishes his studies in Architecture Faculty of Ricardo Palma University of Lima, Peru, in 1989. Researches Pre-Hispanic Architecture mainly on the use of natural materials as clay for an ecological building material. In 1991, travel to France, to the Faculty of Architecture of Grenoble to study a post-graduate course about Specialized Study of Earthen Architecture with CRATerre group. In 1993, moves to Amsterdam, Netherlands and collaborate with Leembouw Nederland, to work in ecologic projects made with natural materials. From 1994, collaborates in Dresden, Germany with the natural building Company Lehmprojekt. In 1997, returns to Perú and teachs in the Architecture Faculty of Peruvian Science University (UPC), creates and lead a practical course about Earth Material Building. In 1999, was Invited to teach in UNIMEP University in Piracicaba, Sao Paolo, Brasil, where he leads a semester program on Constructive Systems and leads an prototype of 12 different constructive techniques in Earth Materials. In 2000, moves to live in the sacred valley in Cusco, Peru. He design and built several Ecological Buildings mainly private houses introducing earth reinforced structures and finishing systems to the local knowledge. In 2007 opens a learning space in his “Refugio T’ikabamba”, an experimentation and diffusion reference center of permaculture technics. From 2011, he travels to several LatinAmerican countries to share Workshops on Designing and build with natural materials called “Earth Architecture and Mural Art”. In 2013, organize and study a Permaculture design certificate (PDC) by the Australian Permaculture Center. Actually he continues to design and build Earth Buildings and organizing Workshops in Europe. He is a consultor in Universidad Gaia U Latina. We recommend a vegetarian powered food based on grains, raw vegetables and powered juices for the good performance and state of mind of the participants. WHAT TO BRING ? Work clothes, good boots, sun cap, water bottle to fill, gloves. Sleeping bag, foto or film machine. If I have, working tools: frotacho, planchas, badilejos. Information material to share your work.
