My dear Parishioners,
Christmas is almost here. This is the
fourth
Sunday
of
Advent.
We
are
already inhaling the perfume of our upcoming
celebrations.
In this weekend's Gospel Mary hastens
to meet Elizabeth to be of service
to her. The mother of our Redeemer, the Son of
God,
hurries
to
help
her
cousin who is pregnant, and is of advanced age.
What a lesson for us, what an example to follow.
Many times we invent many excuses to
not be able to help, to be at the
service of the community, or to work for the
common
good.
And
there
is
Our Blessed Mother, teaching us that it is always
Time to give a helping hand, always time to
love.
Our parish is already decorated for this
Celebration of love. Now isthe time to decorate
our hearts, to let God be born in us again.

On the other hand, we see many signs of
people
serving,
of
many
people
who are giving themselves to others, and we
praise
God
because
they
have
responded to God's call. They are signs of God's
presence among us.
In the Gospel we also see Elizabeth's
reaction when she meets the Virgin
Mary. She rejoices, and the child in her womb,
John
the
Baptist,
exults
in receiving the visit of Mary who was chosen by
God.
May we let Mary visit our homes, our

Flores para o Natal
PORTUGUESA E BRASILEIRA 2 de Fevereiro de 2014
Todos os anos os arranjos de Flores
para o Natal são feitos através de doações
especiais. Se quiser oferecer uma doação
como lembrança, poderão fazer usando os
envelopes na mesa da Igreja.
Queridos Paroquianos,
O Natal se aproxima, é o quarto domingo
do Advento e já o perfume das festividades
começam a se exalar.
No Evangelho deste final de semana
Maria corre ao encontro de Isabel para se colocar
a serviço. A mãe do Salvador, do Filho de Deus,
vai trabalhar para sua prima que está gravida e
em idade avançada. Que lição, que exemplo a ser
seguido.
Muitas vezes colocamos mil desculpas
para servir, para nos colocar a disposição da
comunidade ou de algum trabalho pelo bem
comum, e aí vem Nossa Senhora nos ensinar que
sempre é tempo de servir, sempre é tempo de
amar.
Nossa paróquia já está enfeitada para esta
festa do amor. Agora temos que enfeitar nosso
coração, e deixar que Deus nasça em nós mais
uma vez.
Por outro lado também estamos cheios de
sinais de serviço e doação, muitas pessoas que se
colocam a disposição do outro, e louvamos a
Deus porque foi um chamado Dele respondido
por muitos. São sinais da sua presença em nosso
meio.
Também no Evangelho temos a reação de
Isabel ao encontrar a Virgem Maria, ela exulta e
a criança no seu ventre, João Batista, também se
alegra em receber a visita daquela que foi
escolhida por Deus e agraciada.
Deixemos Nossa Senhora também visitar
nossa casa e nosso coração, deixemos ela nos
ensinar a servir e a dizer Sim ao Senhor.
Tenha uma ótima semana e que Deus te abençoe.
