3 Regulations - Concurso Internacional Jovem de Guitarra Terras de Santo Estêvão
Category A: Up to 11 years old
Category B: Up to 14 years old
Category C: Up to 17 years old
Master Level Category: Up to 25 years old
Contestants must not be older than the maximum age for each category, by the 4th May 2015.
a) Categories A, B and C
There will be two auditions. Every contestant must play at both auditions. The final evaluation will
be the weighted average of the two auditions: 40% for the first audition and 60% for the second
audition.
The classification for the 1st audition will be disclosed at the interval of the first day’s concert.
b) Master Level Category
There will be one round, wich outcome will be disclosed at the interval of the first day’s concert.
At the most, five contestants are able to reach the final, depending on the jury’s delibera
a) Program
CATEGORY - A
First audition: two pieces of free choice, with the maximum lenght of 4’
Second audition: free repertoire with the maximum lenght of 6’
CATEGORY - B
First audition: two pieces of free choice, with the maximum lenght of 5’
Second audition: free repertoire with the maximum lenght of 10’
CATEGORY - C
First audition: two pieces of free choice, with the maximum lenght of 6’
Second audition: free repertoire with the maximum lenght of 12’
MASTER LEVEL CATEGORY
First round: free repertoire with the maximum lenght of 10’
Final: free repertoire with the maximum lenght of 20’

b) Pieces played in the first audition (categories A, B and C) and in the round (Master Level Category),
are not allowed to be repeated in the second audition or in the final, respectively.
c) Contestants must hand over a copy of the pieces to be played, until the beggining of the contest.
a) The jury will be three individuals from the music and guitar universes.
b) Jury’s decisions are sovereign and indisputable.
a) Registrations can be made until the 10th April 2015.
b) The cost of the registration for categories A, B and C is 30€.
For the Master Level Category the cost is 40€.
c) With the Registration Form must be sent a copy of the Identification Document.
d) The payment should be made in the act of registration.
e) In case of waiver the registration value won’t be refunded.
f) The maximum contestants allowed in each category is 15. The registration validation will honor the
order of dispatch of the registration mail or e-mail.

• Study classical guitar with the comercial value of 200€

2nd prize
• Scholarship to participate in Festival Guitarras Mágicas valued at 60€ euros
• RC Strings valued at 30€

• Participation in a concert of Círculo de Cultura Musical da Bairrada (100€)

• Guitar tuner
3rd prize
• RC Strings valued at 30€
• Guitar tuner
CATEGORY - C
• 150 euros

• Participation in a concert of Círculo de Cultura Musical da Bairrada (100€)

All contestants must attend Laureates Concert (wich will take place Sunday, 3rd May at CAE-Sever do
Vouga), in order to receive their awards and diplomas of participation. The winners of each category
are demanded to play at this concert.
In order to participate, all contestants must accept this terms.
