Analysis of Satellite Link
In this mini-tutorial will be present the technical concepts involved in a satellite link for digital TV transmission at different resolutions. The
presentation will also address the standards for digital TV transmission via satellite, technical concepts and typical costs involved for contribution
and distribution of audiovisual content. Greater emphasis will be given to new technologies for increased spectral efficiency and thus reducing
bandwidth associated with streaming content. We will also discuss the alternatives and scenarios for decision of broadcasters, including economize
at daily operations, or seize the opportunity and migrate directly to Full-HD without higher increase in costs. Actual case studies will be presented.

This mini-tutorial will start with explanations of the most recent trials and innovative experiences in TV broadcast Next Generation. It will be covered the UltraHD TV studies with the
first broadcast realized in Europe 8K TV "SuperHivision" by satellite in collaboration with NHK, BBC, RAI and EBU and Channel Demonstration 4K TV now on air by Eutelsat 10A
satellite. After that, it will be cover the use of Ka-band for professional TV and video consumption applications. The presentation will end with a brief introduction of NewsSpotter, the
innovative, light and full-IP system which is revolutionizing SNG in Ka Band in Europe.
