* On January 29, 2015, UNESCO published their Quality Physical Education Policy Package. UNESCO developed this
Package as a means to respond to the global decline in provision of physical education, coupled with an increase in
sedentary lifestyles which is leading to socio-economic problems related to physical literacy, health, civic participation
and global citizenship. The package is designed to advocate for more investment in physical education programmes and
to assist governments to revise policy measures as well as the implementation of physical education and includes an
infographic advocacy document, Quality Physical Education Guidelines for Policy-makers, and a website featuring
statistics as well as project information and tools. The next step of the project will be to accompany a selected number
of governments to revise their policies in line with the guidelines. The project is being developed and implemented in
close cooperation with ICSSPE, the IOC, UNDP, UNICEF, WHO and the European Commission.

* The College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CPASS) at West Virginia University (USA) is seeking applicants for a
Clinical Instructor in the area of Physical Education Teacher Education. CPASS is especially interested in qualified
candidates who can contribute, through their teaching and service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic
community. The position is a Nine-month appointment. Summer teaching opportunities available. Responsibilities:
Actively engaged faculty member in the Department of Coaching and Teaching Studies. The ideal candidate will have
teaching experience in the pre K-12 grade setting and in physical education teacher preparation programs including
supervision experience. It is expected that the candidate will provide service to the department and College.

* eJRIEPS, a French electronic journal focused on sport pedagogy, intends to include in each issue one peer-reviewed
research paper written in English. The journal (founded by Jean-Francis Grehaigne) may be electronically accessed on a

* The Spanish Federation of Associations of Teachers of Physical Education (FEADEF) will organize one the "XI
International Congress of teacher in Physical Education and Sport" which will be in Cádiz, ESP, September 3-6, 2015. This
edition is entitled "Schools and municipalities promoters of a healthy and active to prevent and intervene in the
sedentary lifestyle and obesity. All the information is in the website: http://www.feadef.org/congreso. The deadline for
submission of abstracts is in June 1st, 2015. As in previous editions, FEADEF will give a book with the full papers the last
day of the Congress.
* The University of Canterbury (NZL) will host the 2015 Game Sense for Coaches and Teachers Conference to be held
November 17-18. Game based teaching and coaching presents an exciting alternative to instruction that focuses on
learning technique in the teaching of games in physical education and coaching sport. Over the past decade or two there
has been ever increasing interest in Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU), Game Sense and other game based
approaches. Collaboration between a group of universities in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Taiwan has given rise to
the Game Sense for Teaching and Coaching Conferences run in one day or two day formats. The 2015 Game Sense for
Teachers and Coaches Conference at The University of Canterbury will continue this tradition. The conference will
feature presentations from some of the leading figures in game based approaches to teaching and coaching while in a
series of practical workshops on day two experts will demonstrate Game Sense in action across a range of popular sports
and structured sessions for discussion and the debate of ideas with invited presenters at the top of their fields from New
Zealand Australia, Japan and the USA. Former head coach of the Australian Wallabies and current head coach of Japan

* The 1st Scientific Conference on Motor Skill Acquisition will take place November 18-20, 2015 in Kisakallio, Lohja, FIN.
The conference seeks to bring together international academics and practitioners in sport and physical activity to
present research and discuss experiences from practical programmes in elite and developmental sport contexts and
serve as a relevant forum for the dissemination of information that seeks to develop understanding of empirical and
experiential knowledge in sport and physical activity. This multi-disciplinary, international conference will provide
opportunities to highlight and share empirical and experiential knowledge in the area of motor skills and physical activity
including modern sport pedagogies, psychology, behavioural neuroscience, ecological dynamics, and coaching science.

* The International Journal of Sport Policy and Politics, invites papers for a Special Issue on “Sport, Physical Activity and
Public Health”. The aim of this special issue is to encourage critical discussions about the relationships between sport,
physical activity and public health. Guest editors: Dr Louise Mansfield and Dr Joe Piggin. Key Deadlines and Submission:
Full papers (8000-10000 words) and research notes / short communications (2000 words max) are accepted. Abstract
(250 words) submission 30th June 2015 to either guest editor with completed articles due 30th October 2015.

* ICSSPE will continue to promote the Share the Knowledge Programme to make scientific knowledge of sport science
and physical education available in developing countries. The Share the Knowledge Programme is a joint initiative of
ICSSPE and Human Kinetics Publishers. Both partners have agreed to distribute sport science, physical education and
sport publications to ICSSPE members that do not have the financial resources to buy them. Human Kinetics is giving
books that are not quite fit for resale, ICSSPE is organizing and financing the distribution. Up to 50 books may be
requested at one time. At the current time, all books are in English. Interested members may indicate their interest by

* The 13th International Scientific Conference of Sport Kinetics and the 21st Conference - Current Directions in Sports

13th International Scientific Conference of Sport Kinetics is “Sport and Exercise for Health and Quality of Life”. Both
