The purpose of this form is to report on Student Chapter activities over the previous year. The report provides a useful medium to document the status and progress of individual chapters. Annual Reports are used to evaluate applications for SEG support and to keep Student Chapter information up-to-date on the SEG website. Please provide a summary of Student Chapter
activities in a concise form as suggested below. Description of programs may be supported by a limited number of photographs
and figures in a format appropriate for publishing on our website.

Lectures:
22 October 2009: Formation of Orgogenic Gold Deposits, Evidence From The
Western Alps by Larryn Diamond.
The lecture was the highlight of the year. All the student chapter members, other
students and professors attended to the lecture.
Future plans
• We anticipate an increased interest and enthusiasm from the new MSc students;
• Two monthly talks and papers discussions;
• Planning to lead three students field trips;
• International field trip in 2010/2011 to Spain;
• A talk session about employment in economic geology by various presenters
from the fields of economic geology, mineral economics, mining, and
environmental;
• Conference by one of the SEG 2010 lecturer;
• International or Iberian Meeting of economic geology students.
