STRATO Power is a project in the high altitude wind energy field.
It consists of a lighter than air airship with attached generators.
It can be placed at heights of hundred of meteres where wind is faster
and more reliable.
Due to it's tether design it can be installed ofshore at depths far higher
than conventional offshore wind turbines.
Instead of using radical designs, our approach is to use proven
technologies and components (airship and conventional naceles) because
this will allow to reduce development time and costs, wich will reduce the
time to market.
