Develop and implement program for research in motor behavior and interaction between action and perception of individuals with and without disabilities. We also study developmental changes throughout the lifespan. Through these studies we provide scholarships under grants to undergraduate and graduate students. We also develop and validate research methodologies, often in collaboration with North American colleagues. The theoretical frameworks we use include ecological and dynamic systems approaches. Recently, Dr. Mauerberg-deCastro started a new line of investigation using psychophysical tools to measure perception of body dimensions and body image.
