FEAST OF THE
EXALTATION
OF THE HOLY CROSS
“The Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ
must be our glory: it is our life and
resurrection, it was he who saved us
and delivered“. (Gal 6. 14)
My dear brothers and sisters, we are a
community blessed by God, we are people
walking in faith to achieve holiness and reach
its perfection in the love of God.
This year we will begin the celebrations of 60
YEARS OF PARISH; this is a time of
gathering and joy for all.
I want to invite everyone to this Parish
celebration beginning with a Spiritual
preparation on Friday September 13th
@ 7:00 pm, then a bilingual Mass on Saturday
September 14th, at 6:00 pm.
It will be a bilingual celebration so that all
parishioners may participate.
Sunday September 15 we will have the annual
PICNIC at 12:30 pm. So I invite everyone to
join us, bring your favorite dish to share with
your brothers and sisters.
Also a special request for each family to bring
your photos so that we can look back together
at the history of our Parish, it would be nice to
see the growth and the development of our
church family. Bring your photo album.

NOVENA asking for the
grace of the Holy Cross
By the sign of the holy cross,
deliver us Lord God, from our
enemies.
Lord Jesus for Thy wounds we are
healed! By Thy Cross we have been
liberated!
“He himself bore our sins” in his body
on the cross, so that we might die to
sins and live for righteousness; “by his
wounds you have been healed.”(1P. 2:24)
Jesus, because your cross was heavy,
wounds opened on your shoulders,
caused by the wood and by our sins.
If the cross is heavy and I fall, help me
up, Thy cross is my salvation.
Blessed Holy Cross where humanity
was redeemed and the Son of Man had
his hands transfixed and his chest
opened where water and blood flowed
out of his body.
Holy Cross, an instrument of death and
punishment, but as per the Redeeming
Blood of Jesus became a sign of our
salvation. Jesus at Thy cross I put my
cross. (Put your intention)
Hail, O Cross, sweet hope, grants
forgiveness; gives us the fruit of grace,
which flourished in the Passion.
Praise to you, O Trinity, source of all
forgiveness to those who were saved on
the Cross, give the heavenly mansion.
Jesus give us the grace to live the fruit
of Thy redemption. (3x) Amen

60 ANOS DE PARÓQUIA
FESTA DA EXALTAÇÃO
DA SANTA CRUZ
“A cruz de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo
deve ser a nossa glória: nele está nossa
vida e ressurreição; foi ele que nos
salvou e libertou”. (Gl 6. 14)
Meus queridos irmãos e irmãs, somos uma
comunidade abençoada por Deus, somos um
povo que caminha para a santidade e atingirá
sua perfeição no amor de Deus.
Este ano iniciaremos as celebrações dos 60
ANOS de IGREJA e PARÓQUIA, por isso, é
necessário que seja um tempo de encontro e
alegria para todos.
Quero convidar a todos para esta celebração
Paroquial, na quinta-feira dia 12 de Setembro
teremos a preparação espiritual às 7:00pm em
Português, na sexta-feira dia 13 de Setembro
será em Inglês no dia 14 de Setembro, Sábado
haverá missa às 6:00pm. Será uma celebração
bilingue, para que todos os paroquianos
possam estar presente. No dia 15 de Setembro
teremos o PICNIC anual às 12:30pm. Assim
convido a todos para participar, traga a sua
comida preferida para partilhar com os irmãos
e irmãs.
Faço um pedido especial a cada família para
trazer suas fotos, para juntos olharmos a
História de nossa Paróquia, seria bom vermos
o desenvolvimento de nossa igreja e família
cristã. Traga seu album de fotos.

PEDINDO GRAÇAS
Pelo sinal da santa cruz; livrai-nos
Deus Nosso Senhor; dos nossos
inimigos.
Senhor Jesus por Tuas chagas fomos
curados! Por Tua cruz fomos
libertados!
Jesus que em seu próprio corpo levou
nossos pecados ao madeiro a fim de que
morrêssemos para os pecados e vivêssemos
para a justiça; por Tuas chagas fomos
curados. (1Pe2:24)
Ó Jesus, em cujos ombros foram abertas
feridas por causa do peso da cruz, feridas
causadas pelo madeiro e pelos nossos
pecados, Se a cruz pesar seja nosso
Cirineu, se a cruz pesar e eu cair, ajuda-me
a levantar, que a Tua cruz seja a minha
salvação.
Ó Santa Cruz bendita onde a humanidade
foi redimida e o Filho do homem teve suas
mãos transpassadas e o seu peito aberto de
onde jorrou água e sangue.
Ó Santa Cruz, instrumento de morte e de
castigo, mas que pelo Sangue Redentor
tornou-se sinal de nossa salvação.
Jesus na Tua cruz eu coloco a minha cruz.
(Coloque sua intenção)
Salve, ó cruz, doce esperança, concede aos
réus remissão; dá-nos o fruto da graça, que
floresceu na Paixão.
Louvor a vós, ó Trindade, fonte de todo
perdão aos que na Cruz foram salvos, dai a
celeste mansão.
Jesus dai-nos a graça de viver os frutos
da Tua redenção. (3x) Amém.
