cultura podem ser vistos através da minha arte”, ela explica.
What starts as hand-painted cut-out paper, quickly becomes
bright and vivid shapes. “art is the best way to express and put
into shape and colors all the beauty, harmony, love and
emotions that I feel. My history, feelings and culture can all be
seen through my art,” she explains.
Talita ainda não teve necessidade de expressar os sentimentos
de medo ou revolta. Ela diz que nunca precisou colocá-los para
fora em suas telas. Todos deveríamos seguir o exemplo dessa
mãe, filha, esposa e irmã; e evitar expressar esses sentimentos
ruins entre nós mesmos. Talvez assim, o mundo possa se tornar
um lugar maravilhoso para se viver.
Interestingly enough, Talita has not felt the need to express the
feeling of fear or revolt. She says she has not felt the necessity
to let them out in her canvases. We should all follow the lead of
this mother, daughter, wife and sister and avoid expressing
these awful feelings towards each other. Maybe that way the
world can become the wonderful place we want to live in.

Uma Grande Mulher
A Great Woman

Minha mãe está sempre dizendo que por trás de um grande
homem há sempre uma grande mulher.Eu estendo esse ditado
à Talita Suassuna.
Quase toda base dos trabalhos que ela cria tem uma grande
personagem feminina por trás.”Sou mãe, filha, esposa e irmã de
pessoas maravilhosas que sempre apoiaram o meu trabalho”,
ela descreve.
Talita, natural de São Paulo, sempre encontra uma maneira de
mostrar o lado feminino dentro de sua arte. Seu trabalho é
equilibrado com cores e estilos que a remetem ao Brasil, uma
de suas grandes inspirações. “Minhas raízes são importantes
não somente em minha vida, mas também no meu trabalho. O
folclore brasileiro é vibrante,cores vibrantes são partes dessa
brasilidade”, ela diz.
Talita é uma artista e designer gráfica que vive na Bay Area
desde 1998. Ela agora trabalha em um estúdio na cidade de
Pleasanton. A arte a trouxe para os Estados Unidos. “Eu vim
para a Califórnia para estudar inglês e arte. Após estudar
diferentes formas de arte, incluindo esculturas e outras mídias,
eu decidi explorar mais o campo do design gráfico. ” A arte é
também o seu jeito de extravazar e expressar seus pensamentos. O que começou com um papel pintado a mão, rapidamente

My mother is always saying that behind a great man there is
always a great woman. I will extend that saying to Talita
Suassuna. In almost every work frame she creates, she has a
great female character behind it. “I am a mother, daughter, wife
and sister to wonderful people who have always been
supportive of my work,” she says.
Talita, a native of São Paulo, always finds a way to express her
feminine side within her art. Her work is very well balanced with
colors and styles that brings her back to Brazil, which is one of
her biggest inspirations. “ My roots are very important, not only
in my life, but also in my work. Brazilian folklore is wonderful and
vibrant, vivid colors are a part of that brazilianness”, she says.
Talita is an artist and graphic designer who has been living in the
Bay Area since 1998.She now works in a studio in the town of
Pleasanton. Art was what brought her to the United States.
”I moved here to study English and art. After studying different
forms of art, including sculpture and mixed media, I decided to
better explore the field of graphic desing.” Art is also her way of
letting out her feelings and expressing her thoughts.
