Revista Trágica: estudos de filosofia da imanência – 2º quadrimestre de 2015 – Vol. 8 – nº 2 Spinoza, master of Deleuze Luiz Manoel Lopes* Abstract: This paper aims to present the relationship between the thoughts of Spinoza and Deleuze by highlighting the lessons taken by the latter, in his readings of the former. The point is, therefore, to emphasize the question of immanence. The fold (pli) - between thought and Being - is a concept of utmost importance for an understanding of the proximity between the philosophies of Spinoza and Deleuze. So, the lesson at stake is about how to redouble immanence, this essential element for the achievement of freedom. But to redouble immanence is to make a new fold; to multiply immanence is to create philosophical concepts referring to new modes of relations between thought and the world in order to make us believe in the relationship between people and land. The purpose is, then, to unravel on these points in the thoughts of the two philosophers concerned. Keywords: immanence; ethics; fold; thought; being. * Professor de Filosofia da Univerisdade Federal do Cariri (UFCA), Juazeiro do Norte, CE, Brasil.
