Located in the former 18th-century Royal Silk Factory, now refurbished and adapted to house a Museum and a Documentation and Research Centre, the Foundation, which was inaugurated in November 1994, has as its main aim to promote and study the work of the artists Arpad Szenes and Maria Helena Vieira da Silva Labels in Exhibition Rooms (Portuguese, English and French).
