PINACOTECA DO ESTADO DE SÃO PAULO – BIBLIOTECA WALTER WEY GUIDE FOR THEMATIC SEARCHES The Walter Wey Library uses a controlled vocabulary specialized in fine arts for the indexing of its archive. The vocabulary allows the researcher to search and recover information more easily and precisely. You have the option to make your search directly in the basis of the Controlled Vocabulary. In this case only the terms adopted and their respective terms returned by the search are presented. The terms that have hyperlinks make the connection between the records available in the reference databases. Databases The library’s databases contain information on books, catalogs, dissertations, theses and articles about artists and art in general. In the search option present on the first page, enter the words to be searched for, on an open basis (this option searches through all of the indexed fields). To limit the search to the author, subject or title index, click on the “Search filter” option. Periodicals Section The library has a vast collection of periodicals, collected for more than 50 years. The collection is organized in files separated by artist or by subject. This is material published in the most renowned Brazilian and foreign periodicals (newspapers, magazines, newsletters, bulletins, and others).
