ELIGIBILITY OF THE PROJECT
- The project has to be presented by an emerging artist (with a maximum of 3 works
presented in professional contexts);
- The project has to be an original work, in its creation process and not yet premiered, in the
field of Dance and/or Performance.
APPLICATIONS
- Applications will only be accepted via e-mail until the 31th May and should be sent to
[email protected]
- The final results will be announced on the 19th June at our websites www.forumdanca.pt
and www.orumodofumo.com and by e-mail to the selected projects.
SUPPORT RESIDENCIES
- Support to the 4 selected projects by Forum Dança and O Rumo do Fumo
- Promoting support, by e-mailing (more than 5500 contacts, in dance and performing arts
area, Portuguese and foreign countries) and facebook; highlighted reference on the
websites www.forumdanca.pt and www.orumodofumo.com
- Consulting in executive production (sessions in a total of 4h to be scheduled during the
residency).
- Travel, accommodation and health care coverage are assured by the participants.
- Contacts shall be given as a support to look for accommodation.
GENERAL
- Final public presentation, in the residency space, as an informal showing, conversation
and/ or workshop (including a prior internal showing);
- Obligatory references: “Creation support - Forum Dança and O Rumo do Fumo”;
- Inclusion of Forum Dança and O Rumo do Fumo logos in any project promotion material;
- Videos and other materials by the artists and/or collaborators should be provided for
Forum Dança's Documentation Centre;

- Audio system: 2 amplified speakers, mixing table that supports 2 mics, CD reader
(compatible with MP3)
- Image system: DVD reader, television.
STUDIO 1 (Residency 2)
- 70 m2
- Dance floor (airbox) and black linoleum
- Audio system: 2 speakers, amplifier (compatible with MP3), CD reader
- Image system: DVD reader, television.
STUDIO 4 (Residency 3)
- 93 m2
- Dance floor (airbox) and black linoleum
- Audio system: 2 amplified speakers, mixing table that supports 3 mics, cd reader
(compatibility with MP3)
- Image system: DVD reader, television.
ESPAÇO DA PENHA SPACE
- Common space for meals
- Kitchen with microwaves and fridge
- Bathrooms with hot shower
- Specialized Documentation Centre
- Classroom space (reservation needed)
- Wireless internet
Artists in residence must comply with the space health and safety requirements while on the
premises.
