ASPT Herbarium Emergency Fund

The American Society of Plant Taxonomists (ASPT) has created an Herbarium
Emergency Fund to provide support for herbaria that have sustained damage as
a consequence of natural disasters, such as the devastation caused by hurricane
Katrina. An ad hoc committee has been created to evaluate requests for
assistance and identify additional ways that ASPT can provide financial or
volunteer assistance.
Data Limite
There is no deadline, this is a fund which can be applied for in cases of natural
disaster damaging herbaria.
Elegibilidade
Brazilian herbaria (and their curators or staff) are eligible for the ASPT herbarium
emergency fund. Please note that this fund is set up for support of collections
damaged by natural disasters.
Valor Financiado
There is no fixed sum for such a grant but it might be as much as a few thousand
dollars.
Requisitos
Herbaria that have sustained damage as a consequence of natural disasters.
Forma de Solicitação
An ad hoc committee evaluate requests for assistance and identify additional
ways that ASPT can provide financial or volunteer help. Lucinda McDade, at
Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Garden, chairs this committee.
