TERMOS E CONDIÇÕES DO INTEL® INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT)
ROADSHOW RELACIONADOS AO EVENTO EM SÃO PAULO, BRASIL,
INCLUINDO O HACKATHON
NENHUMA COMPRA É NECESSÁRIA E NENHUMA TAXA DE ADMISSÃO
SERÁ COBRADA
Estes “Termos e Condições” regem o evento Intel® Internet of Things (IoT) Roadshow em
São Paulo, Brasil, que será doravante referido como o “evento” ou o “evento Intel IoT
Roadshow”. No evento será realizada uma Hackathon, mas nenhum julgamento ou
classificação de projetos apresentados ocorrerá e nenhum prêmio de qualquer tipo será
concedido. Estes Termos e Condições definem o relacionamento legal entre a Intel
Corporation (“Intel,” “Patrocinador” ou “nós/nosso/conosco”), The Game Agency, LLC
(“Administrador”), Globalcode Technologia e Informática Ltda. (“Agência”) e cada
participante (“participante,” “público” ou “você/seu”). Mesmo que a Intel realize outras
atividades similares ao evento em outros locais do mundo, tais outras atividades não serão
regidas por estes Termos e Condições, mas sim por seus próprios termos e condições.
Ao se inscrever para participar do evento Intel IoT Roadshow e ao declarar expressamente
que aceita estes Termos e Condições, você aceita e concorda, de forma completa e
incondicional, em obedecer a estes Termos e Condições (incluindo todos os termos e
condições especificados nos documentos/materiais aqui referenciados (e/ou indicados por
link)) e a todas as decisões da Intel, da Agência e do Administrador de acordo com estes
Termos e Condições, que são finais e vinculantes em todos os assuntos relacionados ao
Intel IoT Roadshow. Além disso, os participantes, o Patrocinador, a Agência e o
Administrador reconhecem a validade (como documentos e provas legalmente
vinculativos) de notificações (incluindo e-mails), comunicados, mensagens e documentos
eletrônicos ou digitais gerados e/ou trocados entre as partes no contexto do evento Intel
IoT Roadshow ou como resultado de sua implantação.
O evento Intel IoT Roadshow está sujeito a (e todos os participantes deverão cumprir) todas
as leis, regulamentos, políticas e diretrizes nacionais, federais, estaduais, provinciais,
territoriais, municipais e locais que forem aplicáveis. O evento Intel IoT Roadshow será
inválido nos países cujos residentes forem inelegíveis conforme especificado na Seção 1
abaixo e onde ele seja de alguma forma proibido. Estes Termos e Condições são
apresentados em português e em inglês, e a versão em português será o documento oficial
que regerá este evento Intel IoT Roadshow. A versão em português dos Termos e
Condições será aplicável na medida em que haja quaisquer inconsistências, discrepâncias
e/ou ambiguidades entre as versões nos diversos idiomas.
Ao organizar o evento Intel IoT Roadshow, a Intel não tem a intenção de promover os
próprios produtos, marcas comerciais e/ou serviços, mas em vez disso a Intel procura
ensinar a estudantes, interessados por hobby e desenvolvedores empreendedores sobre as
Placas de Desenvolvimento da Intel (Intel Development Boards) e suas ferramentas de
software. O evento proporcionará aos participantes experiência prática com os produtos da
Intel e a oportunidade de interagir diretamente com os engenheiros da Intel.

1. LOGÍSTICA DO EVENTO E ELEGIBILIDADE DOS PARTICIPANTES
1A. LOCAL E DATA DO EVENTO. O Intel IoT Roadshow regido por estes Termos e
Condições está programado para ocorrer em São Paulo, Brasil de 6 a 7 de novembro de
2015.
O evento Intel IoT Roadshow pode ser alterado, cancelado ou modificado de outra forma
devido a problemas administrativos, problemas comerciais e/ou devido a problemas com
ou relacionados ao embarque para o Brasil, às restrições de exportação/importação, aos
impostos ou encargos de importação e a outras restrições obrigatórias que podem variar
conforme o país e conforme a época e/ou regulamentos, tarifas alfandegárias, sanções do
Brasil e/ou dos EUA e/ou outros assuntos ou eventos geopolíticos. Se algum desses itens
acima ocorrer, tais informações serão divulgadas por meio de aviso publicado no site,
https://www.iotroadshow.intel.com. Os participantes que houverem se inscrito para o
evento também serão informadas pelo endereço de e-mail que houverem fornecido. Você
reconhece que tais regras, requisitos, assuntos, sanções, proibições e/ou restrições (i)
podem ser alteradas de tempos em tempos; (ii) estão fora do controle da Intel, da Agência
e do Administrador; e/ou (iii) podem fazer com que a realização do evento ao amparo deste
instrumento seja mais difícil, onerosa e/ou impossível.
1B. ELIGIBILIDADE PARA PARTICIPAÇÃO. O evento Intel IoT Roadshow está
aberto à participação de qualquer pessoa com autorização legal de permanência no Brasil
(com exceção dos residentes na Birmânia (também conhecida como Myanmar), Cuba, Irã,
Coreia do Norte, Sudão e Síria, que não são elegíveis para participação) e que, no momento
do evento, tenham dezoito (18) anos ou mais e a maioridade no país em que residem. Cada
participante tem a responsabilidade de compreender seus direitos legais para comparecer e
participar do evento.
2. PARTES ENVOLVIDAS NO EVENTO.
2A. PATROCINADOR. O “Patrocinador” é a Intel Corporation, 2200 Mission College
Blvd., Santa Clara, CA 95054-1549, EUA.
2B. ADMINISTRADOR. O administrador do evento Intel IoT Roadshow é The Game
Agency, LLC, sita à 470 West Avenue, Suite 1001, Stamford, CT 06902, EUA.
(“Administrador”).
2C. AGÊNCIA. A agência que administra o evento Intel IoT Roadshow no local físico e
cujas responsabilidades incluem, entre outras, a comunicação com os participantes, o
credenciamento ou check-in dos participantes e a distribuição de materiais do evento
necessários para os participantes é a Globalcode Tecnologia e Informática Ltda., Av.
Bernadino de Campos, 327 cj 22 - Paraiso - São Paulo, CNPJ 03.281.114/0001-45
(“Agência”).

2D. HACKER LEAGUE. A Mashery, Inc., 717 Market Street, Suite 300
San Francisco, CA 94103, é a operadora do “Hacker League”, que é o site ao qual os
participantes podem ser direcionados no início do evento para apresentar as informações
associadas ao seu Projeto Apresentado. O URL para o Hacker League será anunciado no
evento.
3. ITENS QUE OS PARTICIPANTES DEVEM TRAZER AO EVENTO. Cada
participante deverá trazer os itens a seguir para o evento:
1. Identificação oficial válida expedida pelo governo (“Documento de identificação
oficial”) com foto, que mostre a idade e local de residência, como a carteira nacional
de habilitação válida, a carteira de identidade nacional, passaporte ou outra
identificação (sujeita à aprovação da Intel). Esse documento de identificação oficial
poderá ser solicitado por um representante da Agência no momento da sua chegada
ao evento, para confirmar a sua identidade. Para maior clareza e para evitar dúvidas
(como duplicações de nomes), a exclusivo critério do Patrocinador ou da Agência,
os participantes poderão ser solicitados a apresentar um número válido de Cadastro
de Pessoa Física (CPF), além da documentação supramencionada.
2. Computador com 10 GB de espaço disponível para armazenamento, com cabo
Ethernet para acesso à internet e que execute Windows 7, 8, ou 8.1 (64 bits), Mac
OS 10.x(64 bits) ou Linux (Ubuntu 12 ou similar).
Cada participante tem a permissão, mas não a obrigação, de trazer os itens a seguir para o
evento:
1. Sua própria placa de desenvolvimento Intel® Edison. Nenhum outro tipo de placa
de desenvolvimento será permitido. A placa de desenvolvimento Intel® Edison que
você trouxer para o evento pode ser um trabalho em andamento.
2. Você também poderá trazer quaisquer acessórios Internet of Things, desde que
tenha as licenças ou os direitos de uso adequados de tais acessórios.
3. Você poderá ter em seu computador quaisquer auxílios à programação e
ferramentas de software, assim como recursos de criação para aprimorar a
aparência do Projeto, desde que tenha as licenças ou direitos de uso adequados de
tais auxílios à programação, ferramentas de software ou ativos.
4. VISÃO GERAL DO EVENTO INTEL IOT ROADSHOW.
4A. PROGRAMAÇÃO. Sujeito a mudanças que sejam anunciadas antes do evento no site
de Intel IoT Roadshow (https://www.iotroadshsow.intel.com) ou no evento, o evento Intel
IoT Roadshow consistirá da seguinte programação:

4B. COMO SE INSCREVER NO EVENTO IOT ROADSHOW. Sujeito a estes Termos
e Condições, uma pessoa que queira se inscrever para ter a oportunidade de participar do
Intel IoT Roadshow deve visitar o site https://www.iotroadshow.intel.com para identificar
o evento e enviar uma solicitação para a oportunidade de participar de tal evento. As
inscrições para o evento Intel IoT Roadshow começarão na (ou por volta da) data e horário
locais indicados abaixo. O processo de Inscrição para o evento será encerrado conforme
determinado pelo Patrocinador, até 10 (dez) dias antes do início do evento. O espaço do
evento é limitado e determinado pelas respostas às perguntas abaixo e pelo momento em
que você enviar sua solicitação. Depois que o limite de participantes for alcançado, o
sistema de inscrições on-line será fechado para o evento. Não obstante o encerramento do
processo de inscrições como indicado acima, o Patrocinador pode, a seu critério exclusivo,
reabrir o sistema de inscrições on-line para acomodar as flutuações nas inscrições
confirmadas. As pessoas interessadas em fazê-lo ainda poderão enviar seu endereço de email para receber informações sobre outros eventos patrocinados pela Intel. A participação
sem inscrição prévia não será permitida. Se quaisquer detalhes relacionados ao evento Intel
IoT Roadshow mudarem em relação às informações originalmente listadas abaixo, tais
mudanças serão anunciadas pelo Patrocinador em https://www.iotroadshow.intel.com e/ou
a tabela abaixo será alterada de acordo.

A Intel e/ou a Agência que administra o evento analisarão as respostas às perguntas acima
para determinar, a seu critério exclusivo, quais pessoas têm mais experiência prévia, são
mais qualificadas para se beneficiarem do conteúdo educacional no evento Intel IoT
Roadshow, e têm as habilidades necessárias de programação em hardware e software. A
Agência empregará esforços razoáveis para entrar em contato com os participantes em
perspectiva pelo menos 10 (dez) dias antes do início do evento para convidar a pessoa a
participar. O participante em perspectiva tem 5 (cinco) dias para responder e confirmar a
aceitação do convite. Caso o participante em perspectiva não possa ser contatado ou não
responda dentro do tempo determinado, a vaga para o evento será perdida e a Agência
passará para o próximo participante qualificado em perspectiva. As pessoas selecionadas
como participantes em perspectiva alternativos (se houver) devem responder e confirmar a
aceitação no prazo e conforme indicado pela Agência. Pelo menos 10 (dez) dias antes do
evento, um representante da Agência enviará um e-mail a todas as pessoas que se
inscreverem, informando a situação de sua inscrição.
Para enviar a inscrição, cada pessoa deverá marcar afirmativamente a caixa apresentada,
acompanhando a seguinte declaração/consentimento:
Compreendo, declaro e/ou concordo com as seguintes afirmações:
(i)
Tenho 18 anos ou mais e a maioridade em meu país, estado, província
e/ou território de residência;
(ii)
aceito obedecer a estes Termos e Condições e à Política de Privacidade do
Patrocinador;
(iii) os dados pessoais que forem enviados por mim serão transferidos para
servidores nos Estados Unidos;
(iv)
permito que o Patrocinador use minhas imagens fotográficas e em vídeo
gravadas durante o evento, conforme descrito na seção de Divulgação de
Publicidade (Publicity Release) dos Termos e Condições (se eu for

(v)
selecionado como participante e se eu participar do evento); e
os Termos e Condições oficiais que regem o Intel IoT Roadshow estão em
português.
Ao enviar o formulário de inscrição, a pessoa autoriza o uso de suas informações
pessoais em relação a todos os assuntos relacionados à participação no evento Intel IoT
Roadshow (incluindo o armazenamento, transferência e uso dessas informações
pessoais conforme especificado nestes Termos e Condições, incluindo a Seção 9,
intitulada “Divulgação de Publicidade” (Publicity Release)).
A Intel compromete-se a respeitar sua privacidade. Para saber mais sobre as práticas
de privacidade da Intel, acesse http://www.intel.com/privacy.
4C. CREDENCIAMENTO NO EVENTO. No inicio do evento um representante da
Agência registrará você por meio da confirmação da sua identidade em comparação com a
lista de participantes. O representante da Agência solicitará a apresentação de identidade
oficial válida para tal confirmação. Para maior clareza e para evitar dúvidas (como
duplicações de nomes), a exclusivo critério do Patrocinador ou da Agência, os participantes
poderão ser solicitados a apresentar um Cadastro de Pessoa Física (CPF) válido, além da
identidade oficial válida.
4D. DISTRIBUIÇÃO DE UM IoT DEVELOPER KIT. Dependendo da disponibilidade
no estoque, os primeiros 120 (cento e vinte) participantes que fizerem o credenciamento
(check-in) no evento receberão um Intel IoT Roadshow Developer Kit (“Dev Kit”) para
uso durante o evento, consistindo dos seguintes componentes:



Uma placa Intel® Edison (sujeito a disponibilidade)
Conjunto Grove 2nd Generation Starter Plus ou Conjunto Grove Edison Starter
Cabos auxiliares, sensores e outros acessórios
Os desenvolvedores, conforme instruídos pela Intel ou por representantes da Agência no
evento, devem usar peças de hardware do Dev Kit e as bibliotecas de software do Dev Kit
durante o evento. Limitado a um Dev Kit por pessoa. O Patrocinador e a Agência reservamse o direito, a seu critério exclusivo, de exigir que os participantes compartilhem um Dev
Kit como parte de um grupo (em vez de individualmente). Por exemplo, se um participante
não receber um DevKit por falta no estoque, a Agência designará esse participante para um
grupo que tenha o Dev Kit ou requererá que outra pessoa forme um grupo com o
participante que não tenha o Dev Kit. O Patrocinador e a Agência também reservam-se o
direito de limitar o número de Dev Kits por grupo (entretanto, cada grupo receberá pelo
menos um Dev Kit).
Sujeito às disposições indicadas na Seção 10 abaixo, na conclusão do evento, o Dev Kit
poderá ser mantido pelo participante que originalmente recebeu o Dev Kit no momento do
check-in.
5. COMO PARTICIPAR DO HACKATHON.

5A. VISÃO GERAL DA ESTRUTURA. Consta abaixo uma breve visão geral da
estrutura do Hackathon no evento Intel IoT Roadshow.
Passo 1: no início do evento,
 Você será questionado se deseja participar como indivíduo ou membro de um
grupo.
o Você só pode participar do Hackathon como indivíduo ou membro de
um grupo.
o Se desejar participar como parte de um grupo, você será designado para
um grupo de indivíduos conforme decidido pelo Patrocinador e pela
Agência ou
o Você poderá formar o seu próprio grupo, consistindo de indivíduos que
já conheça ou de outros participantes do evento.
 Assim que você tenha optado por participar como indivíduo ou membro de um
grupo, essa escolha (e o grupo em que você estiver) não poderá ser alterada por
você durante o evento.
 Não há limite no número de pessoas que podem ser incluídas em um grupo.
Passo 2: por volta do meio-dia do segundo dia do evento, todos os indivíduos e grupos
demonstrarão suas placas de desenvolvimento de trabalho (cada uma delas um “Projeto").
Os participantes do Hackathon devem estar presentes durante cada etapa do Hackathon,
inclusive, entre outros, todos os procedimentos de criação, demonstração e todos os
anúncios. A menos que antecipadamente acordado de outra forma por escrito entre o
Patrocinador ou a Agência e o participante devido a circunstâncias críticas extenuantes
como doença ou emergência familiar: (i) o participante que estiver participando do
Hackathon como indivíduo que perder qualquer parte do Hackathon será excluído de
continuar participando do evento; ou (ii) se a pessoa estiver participando do Hackathon
como membro de um grupo, a pessoa será excluída e perderá todos os direitos ao seu
Projeto e a participação posterior no evento, mas o restante dos membros do grupo poderão
continuar a participar do evento.
5B. COMO APRESENTAR O SEU PROJETO NO HACKATHON. No início do
evento Intel IoT Roadshow em que você participe, os participantes convidados serão
direcionados para um site on-line denominado Hacker League (ou para outro site ou
método de Apresentação de Projetos a ser anunciado pela Intel ou pela Agência antes do
ou no evento), no qual os participantes receberão um formulário on-line ou impresso
contendo campos similares àqueles listados abaixo, entre outros. Assim que você tiver
construído o seu Projeto (mas antes de demonstrá-lo), deverá preencher o formulário online ou impresso conforme apresentado e enviá-lo eletronicamente ou conforme de outra
forma orientado pela Intel ou pela Agência. Apenas um formulário on-line ou impresso é
necessário por Apresentação de Projeto (conforme definido abaixo), mesmo se o
participante for um grupo.

 Componentes de hardware?
 O Conjunto de Desenvolvedor?
Você então demonstrará o seu Projeto no horário e local solicitados pela Agência. Cada
demonstração de Projeto deverá durar 3 (três) minutos ou menos.
O seu Projeto (incluindo a demonstração do seu Projeto) e o formulário on-line associado
a ele serão coletivamente designados como a sua "Apresentação de Projeto".
Cada participante (seja como indivíduo ou como grupo) pode apresentar tantas
Apresentações de Projeto quantas desejar, desde que cada uma delas seja
significativamente diferente de quaisquer outras Apresentações inscritas por tal indivíduo
ou grupo.
Não há categorias para os Projetos. Qualquer tópico de Projeto será aceito (sujeito a estes
Termos e Condições).
Ao demonstrar o seu Projeto, você concorda que:
(i)

A sua Apresentação de Projeto está em conformidade com as Diretrizes e
Restrições de conteúdo (conforme definidas e descritas na Seção 6 destes
Termos e Condições);
A Intel ou a Agência, a seu exclusivo critério, poderá retirar a sua Apresentação
de Projeto e exclui-lo do evento Intel IoT Roadshow Hackathon se acreditar
que a sua Apresentação de Projeto não está de conformidade com as Diretrizes
e Restrições; e
A sua Apresentação de Projeto no evento Intel IoT Roadshow Hackathon está
sujeita a estes Termos e Condições e você concorda em cumpri-los.
Apresentações de Projetos que não cumpram estes Termos e Condições serão
excluídas.

Todas as Apresentações de Projetos estão sujeitas à verificação pelo Patrocinador ou pela
Agência de conformidade com estes Termos e Condições. Qualquer tentativa de
apresentação que não seja como aqui descrita será nula. A Intel, a Agência ou o
Administrador, de conformidade com estes Termos e Condições, determinarão a seu
exclusivo critério o que constitui uma apresentação válida e elegível.
A Intel, a Agência e o Administrador não são responsáveis por Apresentações de Projetos
extraviadas, atrasadas, corrompidas, incompletas, inválidas, danificadas ou retardadas (na
medida em que tais fatos não sejam devidos a falha da Intel, da Agência ou do
Administrador), todas as quais serão nulas e desconsideradas.
Consulte a Seção 13 destes Termos e Condições para obter informações importantes
relativas à coleta, armazenagem e/ou exportação dos dados pessoais que você apresentar
como parte do evento Intel IoT Roadshow.
Prazo das Apresentações de Projetos. Cada elemento da sua Apresentação de Projeto
deverá ser recebido até a data e o horário especificados pelo Patrocinador ou pelo
representante da Agência no início do evento.
6. DIRETRIZES E RESTRIÇÕES DE CONTEÚDO PARA APRESENTAÇÕES DE
PROJETOS. Ao enviar a sua Apresentação de Projeto (conforme definido na Seção 5B)
(aqui referida como uma "Apresentação" ou um "Projeto") e cada parte da sua
Apresentação de Projeto (também aqui referida como uma "Apresentação"), você
concorda, declara e garante que todas as suas Apresentações estão de conformidade com
as diretrizes e restrições de conteúdo de apresentações listadas abaixo ("Diretrizes e
Restrições") e que a Intel poderá exclui-lo (e/ou a(s) sua(s) Apresentação(ões)) do evento
Intel IoT Roadshow Hackathon se a Intel acreditar, a seu exclusivo critério, que qualquer
uma das suas Apresentações não está de conformidade com as Diretrizes e Restrições e/ou
com quaisquer outras restrições/exigências aqui estabelecidas.
Diretrizes de conteúdo:
 Todas as Apresentações de Projetos devem usar as peças (mas não
necessariamente todas as peças) de hardware do Dev Kit e as bibliotecas de
software do Dev Kit.
Restrições de conteúdo:
 Seu Projeto não deve conter nem afirmar conter material que viole ou infrinja
direitos de terceiros (sejam vivos ou falecidos) incluindo, entre outros, direitos
de privacidade, publicidade e quaisquer outros direitos de propriedade
intelectual;
 Você deve ser o proprietário de seu Projeto (abrangendo a propriedade de todos
os direitos autorais, logotipos, marcas comerciais, nomes comerciais, designs,
patentes, músicas, sons, imagens, vídeos etc. do Projeto) e/ou de alguma forma
deve obter todos os direitos necessários para participar do Intel IoT Roadshow
sujeito a estes Termos e Condições, especialmente na Seção 7;

Seu Projeto não deve conter nenhum nome, marca comercial ou outra
propriedade intelectual da Intel, exceto conforme fornecido e permitido nestes
Termos e Condições;
Seu Projeto pode conter nomes de marcas, marcas comerciais ou outra
propriedade intelectual de terceiros apenas se você tiver todos os direitos
necessários para permitir que você inclua tal propriedade intelectual em seu
Projeto e para permitir que a Intel use o Projeto, conforme contemplado e
descrito nestes Termos e Condições. Se solicitado, o participante deve fornecer
à Intel as provas de tais direitos aqui mencionados, em uma forma aceitável
para a Intel;
Seu Projeto não pode conter emblemas oficiais de nenhum país sem permissão
da autoridade competente de tal país;
O Projeto não pode difamar a Intel, nenhuma Agência, Administrador,
nenhuma outra pessoa ou parte relacionada com o Intel IoT Roadshow e
nenhum outro terceiro;
O Projeto não deve conter nenhum vírus, "worm", spyware ou outros
componentes ou instruções que sejam maliciosos, fraudulentos ou projetados
para limitar ou prejudicar a funcionalidade de um computador ou Dev Kit;
O Projeto não deve conter material que seja impróprio, indecente, obsceno,
pornográfico, odioso, enganoso, falso, impreciso, difamatório, calunioso ou
injurioso;
O Projeto não deve conter material que promova intolerância, racismo, ódio ou
perseguição a nenhum grupo ou pessoa ou que promova discriminação com
base em raça, sexo, religião, nacionalidade, deficiência, orientação sexual ou
idade;
O Projeto não deve conter material que seja ilegal, que viole ou seja contrário
às leis, regulamentos ou políticas em qualquer jurisdição onde o Projeto seja
criado ou onde o evento Intel IoT Roadshow seja oferecido;
O Projeto deve ser um trabalho original de uma pessoa ou de um ou mais
integrantes do grupo; e
Você assume a responsabilidade pela violação de qualquer das obrigações e
requisitos acima listados que envolvam, sem limitações, o reembolso dos danos
infligidos.
7. USO DO PROJETO PELA INTEL. A Intel não terá nenhum direito de propriedade
sobre o seu Projeto. A apresentação de um Projeto constitui o consentimento do
participante em conceder à Intel para fins administrativos, promocionais e/ou de marketing
relacionados ao evento Intel IoT Roadshow, a outros eventos relacionados organizados
pela Intel, e aos produtos e/ou serviços da Intel, uma licença sem royalties, irrevogável,
perpétua (ou, quando não for legalmente possível, por todo o termo da duração dos direitos
de propriedade intelectual) e não exclusiva com o direito de sublicenciar sem royalties (sem
o consentimento separado do participante) para usar e explorar todos os direitos de
propriedade intelectual associados a vídeos, áudios, fotografias e materiais escritos
associados ao Projeto (incluindo, entre outros, direitos autorais, marcas comerciais,
patentes e direitos de design) inclusive, sem limitação, para usar, adaptar, reproduzir,
representar, disseminar, modificar, traduzir, publicar, comunicar e/ou transmitir para o

público e apresentar publicamente tal Projeto no todo ou em parte, com alcance mundial,
e para incorporá-lo a outros trabalhos ou desenvolver trabalhos derivados, em qualquer
forma, mídia ou tecnologia (incluindo materiais impressos, internet e em especial os sites
da Intel e de parceiros de marketing da Intel etc.) agora conhecidos ou que vierem a ser
desenvolvidos. A Intel pode explorar o Projeto de forma industrial ou comercial através,
por exemplo, da demonstração do Projeto em determinados eventos do setor e/ou
acadêmicos, através de apresentações potenciais nesses eventos para fabricantes e
investidores, através do destaque do Projeto e seus criadores na Intel Developer Zone, nos
Instructables e em outros sites de parceiros de marketing da Intel, e/ou através de
apresentações potenciais para outras partes. Não obstante o acima exposto, tal licença não
dá à Intel nenhum direito de vender o Projeto a terceiros, nem de oferecê-lo como prêmio
de valor agregado em conexão com uma venda ou licenciamento (mesmo que as partes
possam concordar com isso posteriormente). Nenhuma forma de monetização direta do
Projeto pela Intel será permitida sem o consentimento expresso por escrito do participante.
Para evitar dúvidas, observamos que a remuneração pela licença de uso e exploração dos
direitos de propriedade intelectual associados ao Projeto é de $0 dólares estadunidenses.
Se solicitado, o participante assinará qualquer acordo ou outra documentação (e/ou obterá
a assinatura de terceiros relevantes) que possa ser exigido para que a Intel possa fazer uso
dos direitos não exclusivos que o participante está concedendo para usar o Projeto (e/ou
que possam ser solicitados para confirmação dos direitos da Intel sobre tal uso).
Ao conceder tal licença à Intel, o participante por este meio declara e garante que o Projeto
não infringe de nenhuma forma as propriedades intelectuais de qualquer terceiro (seja vivo
ou falecido). A posse da propriedade intelectual e dos direitos ao Projeto permanecerá com
o participante (seja com o indivíduo ou com o grupo que criou o Projeto), exceto conforme
especificado aqui. De outra forma, o participante aceita e concorda em isentar a Intel, a
Agência e o Administrador de quaisquer reclamações de terceiros, e caso o Patrocinador,
a Agência e/ou o Administrador sofram danos devidos à referida violação, o participante
aceita e concorda em compensar os danos da Intel, da Agência e do Administrador até a
máxima extensão permitida pelas leis aplicáveis.
Até a máxima extensão permitida pelas leis aplicáveis, o participante concorda e garante
que procurou o consentimento dos outros criadores dos direitos autorais do Projeto para
quaisquer atos ou omissões pelo Patrocinador e cada um dos seus respectivos sucessores e
cessionários, que de outra forma constituiriam violação dos direitos morais dos criadores
(incluindo, em particular, o direito de manter a integridade do Projeto, o direito moral da
primeira distribuição e o direito de paternidade moral) e desiste de todos e quaisquer desses
direitos morais em favor da Intel (sempre que for aplicável e aceitável ao amparo da
legislação local). Se solicitado, o participante deve poder providenciar à Intel tal
consentimento de terceiros de forma aceitável para a Intel.
Ao criar um Projeto, cada participante aceita e concorda que a Intel não será obrigada a
usar o Projeto e que a Intel, a seu critério exclusivo, terá o direito de abster-se de usar o

Projeto. A Intel não incorrerá nenhuma responsabilidade se optar por abster-se de qualquer
exploração de seus direitos ao amparo deste instrumento.
Apenas até a máxima extensão exigida pela lei aplicável, o consentimento do participante
em conceder os direitos de uso e exploração ao Patrocinador não será considerado uma
cessão ou renúncia a qualquer dos seus direitos morais que, sob as leis aplicáveis, não
podem ser objeto de nenhuma transferência ou renúncia.
8. AUSÊNCIA DE JULGAMENTO, CLASSIFICAÇÃO OU PRÊMIOS. Durante o
Hackathon no evento Intel IoT Roadshow, não haverá julgamento dos Projetos, nem
prêmios nem qualquer classificação de uma Apresentação em comparação com qualquer
outra.
Além do aprendizado educacional obtido pelos participantes e do Dev Kit em potencial
oferecido como parte do evento Intel IoT Roadshow, nenhuma remuneração financeira será
paga como parte desse evento Intel IoT Roadshow.
9. DIVULGAÇÃO DE PUBLICIDADE. Cada participante do evento Intel IoT
Roadshow afirma e concorda com o seguinte, em virtude de ter concordado com os Termos
e Condições no momento da inscrição para participação no evento:
“Ao inscrever-me e participar do evento, eu, um participante de um evento Intel IoT
Roadshow, dou total permissão, de forma irrevogável e perpétua, à Intel e todas as suas
afiliadas, empresas controladoras e subsidiárias em todo o mundo para usar meu nome,
imagem, aparência, citações e qualquer parte dos mesmos (coletivamente, “MINHA
IMAGEM”) como vier a aparecer nas fotos ou áudios/vídeos gravados durante o evento
Intel IoT Roadshow, e para distribuir ou exibir em toda e qualquer forma e mídia em todo
o mundo, incluindo, entre outros, impressos, fotografias, filmes, vídeos, programas de TV,
CD-ROM, DVD, e em mídia on-line de computador, como a internet (incluindo o site da
Intel, sites de parceiros de marketing da Intel etc.).
Garanto e declaro que quaisquer declarações feitas por mim à Intel são verdadeiras e
representam minha sincera crença e compreensão da Intel e seus produtos. Reconheço que
o uso do meu nome, imagem ou declarações pela Intel pode refletir-se na reputação da Intel
e que não estou ciente de nenhum fato que poderia causar uma associação negativa.
Compreendo que a Intel não está obrigada a usar nem a oferecer nenhuma remuneração
por qualquer uso da MINHA IMAGEM. Também compreendo que a Intel não adquiriu
nenhum direito de propriedade sobre minhas informações pessoais como resultado destes
Termos e Condições e concordo que a Intel detém os direitos autorais de todas as
fotografias ou gravações de áudio/vídeo que forem feitas e de quaisquer trabalhos
derivados que a Intel crie como resultado dessa divulgação.
Também concordo que a Intel, ao usar a MINHA IMAGEM ou qualquer parte dela, não
terá nenhuma obrigação de identificar-me pelo nome e renuncio a quaisquer direitos ou
reclamações que eu possa ter com respeito à maneira em que a MINHA IMAGEM possa
ser usada pela Intel, incluindo, entre outros, direitos de publicidade, direitos de privacidade,
direitos relacionados à difamação do caráter e todos os direitos com relação à minha
aprovação dos materiais que possam ser criados pela Intel contendo a minha imagem,

independentemente de se, em minha opinião, a MINHA IMAGEM estiver desfocada,
distorcida ou alterada, seja intencionalmente ou de outra forma.
10. GERAL. Se por algum motivo (que não seja negligência ou ação intencional da Intel,
da Agência, do Administrador e/ou das outras Entidades do Intel IoT Roadshow) o evento
Intel IoT Roadshow não puder ser realizado conforme o planejado ou se o evento Intel IoT
Roadshow ou algum site associado ao evento Intel IoT Roadshow estiver corrompido ou
não permitir a correta interação com o evento Intel IoT Roadshow e o processamento das
inscrições e/ou dos Projetos conforme estes Termos e Condições (que não seja devido à
negligência ou ação intencional da Intel, da Agência, do Administrador e/ou das outras
Entidades do Intel IoT Roadshow) ou se infecção por vírus de computador, bugs,
adulteração, intervenção não autorizada, ações dos participantes (ou de outras pessoas
associadas aos participantes), fraude, falhas técnicas ou quaisquer outras causas (que não
sejam devido à negligência ou ação intencional da Intel, da Agência, do Administrador
e/ou das Entidades do Intel IoT Roadshow), a critério exclusivo do Patrocinador,
corromper ou afetar a administração, segurança, justiça, integridade ou condução adequada
do evento Intel IoT Roadshow, o Patrocinador reserva-se o direito, a seu critério exclusivo,
de dispensar qualquer participante (e/ou algumas ou todas as inscrições e/ou Projetos do
participante) que estejam implicados em tal ação e/ou de cancelar, encerrar, modificar ou
suspender o evento Intel IoT Roadshow ou estes Termos e Condições ou qualquer parte
deles.
A Intel também se reserva o direito, a seu critério exclusivo, de dispensar qualquer pessoa
(e todas as inscrições e/ou Projetos do evento Intel IoT Roadshow (ou outras atividades
similares ao evento conduzidas pela Intel) associados a tal pessoa, (incluindo Projetos do
grupo do qual essa pessoa faça parte) que esteja comprovadamente agindo em violação
destes Termos e Condições ou que esteja agindo de forma não esportiva ou prejudicial ou
com a intenção de interromper ou sabotar a operação legítima do evento Intel IoT
Roadshow ou de perturbar, abusar, ameaçar ou perseguir qualquer outra pessoa.
A Intel reserva-se o direito de buscar medidas e outras compensações de qualquer tal pessoa
até a máxima extensão permitida pela lei aplicável. ATENÇÃO: QUALQUER
TENTATIVA DE DELIBERADAMENTE PREJUDICAR QUALQUER SITE
ASSOCIADO AO EVENTO INTEL IOT ROADSHOW OU DE SABOTAR A
OPERAÇÃO LEGÍTIMA DO EVENTO INTEL IOT ROADSHOW SERÁ
CONSIDERADA UMA VIOLAÇÃO DAS LEIS CIVIS E CRIMINAIS E CASO TAL
TENTATIVA VENHA A SER FEITA, A INTEL RESERVA-SE O DIREITO DE
BUSCAR MEDIDAS E OUTRAS COMPENSAÇÕES (INCLUINDO CUSTAS
JUDICIAIS E HONORÁRIOS DE ADVOGADOS) DE QUALQUER TAL PESSOA
ATÉ A MÁXIMA EXTENSÃO DA LEI, INCLUINDO PROCESSO PENAL. Nenhuma
inscrição e/ou Projeto incompleto, ininteligível, fraudado ou automatizado será aceito. As
inscrições geradas por script, macro ou outros meios automáticos ou por qualquer meio
que corrompa o processo de Apresentação serão consideradas inválidas.

Na conclusão do evento, a Intel devolverá o Dev Kit ao participante que originalmente o
recebeu durante o processo de registro, independentemente de a pessoa haver participado
no Hackathon como indivíduo ou membro de um grupo.
Quaisquer materiais impressos enviados pelo participante durante o evento serão retidos
pela Intel.
A Intel reserva-se o direito de corrigir quaisquer erros tipográficos, de impressão, de
programação de computador ou de operador. A invalidade ou inaplicabilidade de qualquer
disposição, declaração, sentença ou cláusula destes Termos e Condições não afetará a
validade ou aplicabilidade de qualquer outra disposição, declaração, sentença ou cláusula.
Caso alguma disposição, declaração, sentença ou cláusula seja declarada inválida ou de
alguma forma inaplicável ou ilegal, estes Termos e Condições permanecerão em vigor e
serão interpretados em conformidade com seus termos como se a disposição, declaração,
sentença ou cláusula inválida ou ilegal não estivesse aqui contida.
A Intel compromete-se a obedecer todas as leis, regulamentos, políticas e regras éticas
aplicáveis. Esta seção tem o objetivo de garantir que a sua participação no evento Intel IoT
Roadshow não violará nenhuma destas leis, regulamentos, políticas ou regras. A Intel não
busca nenhuma promessa ou favorecimento para si ou para nenhuma de suas afiliadas em
troca da oportunidade de participar do evento Intel IoT Roadshow. Em relação ao evento
Intel IoT Roadshow:

você concorda que a sua participação - incluindo sua aceitação de qualquer
Dev Kit ou publicidade potencial do evento - não violará nenhuma lei,
regulamento, política ou regra de seu país, estado ou órgão governamental;
e
você declara que sua participação – incluindo sua aceitação de qualquer
Dev Kit ou publicidade potencial do evento – não será feita em troca de um
acordo para influenciar uma ação ou decisão recente, pendente ou prevista
que possa resultar na obtenção ou manutenção de um negócio ou vantagem
comercial pela Intel.
Viagem até o Evento Intel IoT Roadshow:
Todas as despesas e custos incidentais de viagem incluindo, entre outros, passagens
aéreas, hospedagem em hotel, transporte terrestre de e para os aeroportos de chegada
e partida, transportes terrestres adicionais, todos os outros traslados, serviços de hotel
(se houver), seguros médicos e de viagem, requisitos para vistos, dinheiro para
despesas, despesas pessoais, lembranças, upgrades, bebidas, refeições, despesas
incidentais, tarifas ou impostos de passageiro, tarifas de empresas aéreas, taxas de
serviços ou conveniências, despesas pessoais de acomodações, tarifas de segurança,
impostos, gratificações ou outras despesas são de responsabilidade exclusiva do
participante. Cada participante é responsável pela obtenção de todos os documentos de
viagem e seguros de viagem necessários antes da viagem. Cada participante deve ter
passaporte e visto válidos (se aplicável) para poder completar a viagem internacional e
participar do evento e do Hackathon. Restrições, condições e limitações de viagem podem

ser aplicáveis. A Intel e as outras Entidades do Intel IoT Roadshow não serão responsáveis
se o participante não puder comparecer ao evento Intel IoT Roadshow ou se a viagem for
atrasada, adiada ou cancelada por algum motivo. Além disso, a Intel e as outras Entidades
do Intel IoT Roadshow não serão responsáveis por nenhum custo, tarifa ou despesa
incorrida pelo participante se o evento Intel IoT Roadshow for cancelado, modificado ou
reagendado.
11. IMPORTANTE: LIMITAÇÕES DE RESPONSABILIDADE, DIVULGAÇÃO E
INDENIZAÇÃO PELO PARTICIPANTE. A participação no evento Intel IoT
Roadshow implica a aceitação pelo participante da possibilidade de erro humano, limites
técnicos da internet e de sistemas de TI e da ocorrência de outros eventos. Além disso,
quando aplicável e aceitável ao amparo da legislação local, cada participante reconhece e
concorda que sua participação no evento Intel IoT Roadshow envolve o risco de ferimentos
físicos e morte, assim como o risco de danos ou perdas de propriedade e assume todos os
riscos conhecidos ou desconhecidos, incluindo o risco de ferimentos físicos (inclusive,
entre outros, paralisia, desmembramento e morte) e o risco de danos ou perdas de
propriedade.
Ao participar do evento Intel IoT Roadshow, cada participante declara compreender que a
viagem, seja por avião, automóvel ou outro meio de transporte, ou a pé, e no ar, assim
como o comparecimento ao próprio evento Intel IoT Roadshow, contém alguns elementos
inerentes de risco de acidentes, ferimentos, doença, perda ou morte, que podem ser
causados por negligência, forças naturais ou outros agentes, conhecidos ou desconhecidos.
Até à máxima extensão permitida pela disposição obrigatória da lei aplicável, a Intel, a
Agência, o Administrador e as outras Entidades do Intel IoT Roadshow não são
responsáveis por, e cada participante aqui indeniza, isenta e declara não responsável a Intel,
a Agência, o Administrador e as outras Entidades do Intel IoT Roadshow de toda e qualquer
reclamação, perda, responsabilidade, despesa (inclusive honorários profissionais e
advocatícios razoáveis e impostos e despesas legais) e/ou danos decorrentes de: (i) falhas
técnicas de qualquer tipo, incluindo, entre outros o mau funcionamento de qualquer
computador, cabo, rede, hardware ou software (incluindo, entre outros, problemas para
fazer o download ou upload de um Projeto ou qualquer outra informação relacionada ao
Intel IoT Roadshow); (ii) a indisponibilidade ou inacessibilidade de quaisquer transmissões
ou de serviços de telefone ou internet; (iii) intervenção humana não autorizada em qualquer
parte do processo de inscrição ou do evento Intel IoT Roadshow; (iv) erro humano ou
eletrônico que possa ocorrer na administração e/ou operação do evento Intel IoT Roadshow
ou no processamento das inscrições; (v) erros de impressão, distribuição, programação ou
produção, e quaisquer outros erros ou mau funcionamento de qualquer tipo, seja humano,
mecânico, eletrônico ou outro; (vi) qualquer ferimento (inclusive morte) ou danos a pessoas
ou propriedades, incluindo, entre outros o computador, hardware ou software do
participante, que possam ser causados por (direta ou indiretamente, no todo ou em parte)
ou relacionados ao evento Intel IoT Roadshow ou à viagem do participante, ou ao
comparecimento e/ou à participação no evento Intel IoT Roadshow; (vii) a violação ou
alegação de violação pelo participante destes Termos e Condições; e (viii) a
disponibilidade, o uso e/ou o desempenho do Dev Kit.

NÃO OBSTANTE O ACIMA EXPOSTO, O PARTICIPANTE SÓ SERÁ
RESPONSABILIZADO PELAS DISPOSIÇÕES ACIMA EM CASO DE
NEGLIGÊNCIA, IMPRUDÊNCIA, MÁ UTILIZAÇÃO OU ATO INTENCIONAL
CAUSADO POR TAL PARTICIPANTE.
Ao participar do Intel IoT Roadshow ou usar qualquer site associado ao mesmo, você
concorda (desde que não impossibilitado pela lei aplicável) que as exclusões e limitações
do conjunto de responsabilidades aqui especificadas são razoáveis.
Ao receber um Dev Kit você aceita que a Intel não oferecerá nenhuma garantia em relação
ao Dev Kit. Até a máxima extensão permitida pela lei, a Intel especificamente isenta-se de
qualquer declaração ou garantia, explícita ou implícita, em relação ao Dev Kit, incluindo
qualquer garantia implícita de comercialização ou adequação a um fim específico, e as
garantias implícitas oriundas do manuseio ou do desempenho.
Caso o Patrocinador seja impedido de dar continuidade ou tenha uma justificativa
comercial razoável para cancelar o evento Intel IoT Roadshow ou se a integridade e/ou a
viabilidade do evento Intel IoT Roadshow for prejudicada por qualquer incidente,
incluindo, entre outros, incêndio, enchente, epidemia, terremoto, explosão, litígio
trabalhista ou greve (exceto por litígio trabalhista ou greve dos funcionários da Intel, da
Agência ou do Administrador), problemas de importação, exportação e/ou estoque que
afetem a disponibilidade e/ou a distribuição dos Dev Kits e/ou de outros equipamentos, a
implantação de ações governamentais ou outras restrições que envolvam um ou mais países
(e/ou residentes de ta(is) país(es)), eventos naturais ou atos de inimigo público, falha de
satélite ou técnica, motim ou distúrbios civis, guerra (declarada ou não), ameaça ou
atividade terrorista ou qualquer lei, ordem ou regulamento do governo federal, estadual,
provincial ou local, questões e problemas aduaneiros, ordens de qualquer tribunal ou
jurisdição ou outra causa que não esteja sob o controle razoável do Patrocinador (cada qual
sendo um evento de “Força Maior”), o Patrocinador terá o direito, a seu critério exclusivo,
de abreviar, modificar, estender, suspender, cancelar ou encerrar o evento Intel IoT
Roadshow ou estes Termos e Condições, no todo ou em parte, a qualquer momento e sem
nenhuma outra obrigação a não ser a de incluir um aviso sobre isso no site
https://iotroadshow.intel.com e através de e-mail para as pessoas que se inscreveram para
participar do evento.
12. IMPORTANTE: CONTROVÉRSIAS. Qualquer controvérsia derivada de ou em
conexão com estes Termos e Condições, inclusive qualquer questão relativa a sua
existência, validade ou rescisão, será encaminhada e dirimida em última instância por
arbitragem ao amparo das Regras da Câmara Americana de Comércio, que são
consideradas incorporadas a esta cláusula por referência. O número de árbitros será um e
o foro legal de arbitragem será a cidade de São Paulo, Brasil. O idioma a ser usado nos
procedimentos arbitrais será o inglês. A legislação aplicável a estes Termos e Condições
será a legislação substantiva do Brasil, dependendo de a controvérsia envolver um residente
no Brasil. Não obstante o acima exposto, se a controvérsia não envolver um residente no
Brasil, então a legislação aplicável a estes Termos e Condições será a legislação substantiva

dos Estados Unidos e do estado de Delaware. Ao participar do evento Intel IoT Roadshow
(e como condição para tal participação), cada participante concorda que todas e quaisquer
controvérsias que não possam ser dirimidas entre as partes e pedidos e causas de ação
derivados de ou em conexão com o evento Intel IoT Roadshow serão dirimidos
individualmente, sem recorrer a nenhuma forma de ação coletiva. Ademais, a menos que
restringido por legislação aplicável, em qualquer tal controvérsia, demanda ou causa de
ação, sob nenhuma circunstância os participantes poderão obter sentenças e, na medida do
permitido ao amparo de legislação aplicável, renunciam a todos os direitos de reivindicar
perdas ou danos indiretos, punitivos, especiais, incidentais e consequenciais e quaisquer
outras perdas e danos ou sentenças (inclusive honorários advocatícios e outros honorários
profissionais), e o participante renuncia ainda a todos os direitos a perdas e danos
multiplicados ou de outra forma aumentados.
13. PRIVACIDADE E INFORMAÇÕES PESSOAIS DO PARTICIPANTE. Todas as
informações enviadas pelos participantes como parte do evento Intel IoT Roadshow serão
coletadas pelo Administrador, pelo operador do Hacker League ou outro site conforme
descrito na Seção 5B (se houver) e/ou pela Agência unicamente em nome da Intel em
conformidade com a política de privacidade da Intel, disponível em
http://www.intel.com/privacy, para a realização do evento IoT Roadshow. A participação
no evento Intel IoT Roadshow será considerada como sua autorização explícita para
a transferência para os Estados Unidos de dados pessoais que você enviar para

INTEL® INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT) ROADSHOW TERMS & CONDITIONS
COVERING THE SAO PAULO, BRAZIL EVENT INCLUDING HACKATHON
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY AND NO ADMISSION FEE REQUIRED
These “Terms & Conditions” govern the Intel® Internet of Things (IoT) Roadshow event
in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which is referred to herein as either the “event” or the “Intel IoT
Roadshow event.” At the event, a Hackathon will be conducted though no judging or
ranking of project submissions will take place, nor any prizes of any kind awarded. These
Terms & Conditions set forth the legal relationship between Intel Corporation (“Intel,”
“Sponsor” or “us/we/our”), The Game Agency, LLC (“Administrator”), Globalcode
Tecnologia e Informática Ltda (“Agency”), and each attendee (“attendee,” “participant” or
“you/your”). Although Intel will be conducting other activities similar to the event at other
locations around the world, those other activities are not governed by these Terms &
Conditions, but rather are governed by their own terms and conditions.
By applying to attend the Intel IoT Roadshow event and by expressly accepting these
Terms & Conditions, you fully and unconditionally accept and agree to be bound by these
Terms & Conditions (including all terms and conditions set forth in documents/materials
referenced (and/or linked to) herein) and all decisions of Intel, Agency, and Administrator
in accordance with these Terms & Conditions which are final and binding in all matters
related to the Intel IoT Roadshow. In addition, attendees, Sponsor, Agency, and
Administrator hereby acknowledge the validity (as legal binding documents and evidence)
of electronic or digital messages, documents, communications and notifications (including
e-mails) generated and/or exchanged among the parties in the framework of the Intel IoT
Roadshow event or as a result of its implementation.
The Intel IoT Roadshow event is subject to (and all attendees must comply with) all
applicable national, federal, state, provincial, territorial, municipal and local laws,
regulations, policies and directives. Intel IoT Roadshow event is void in those countries
whose residents are ineligible as set forth in Section 1 below, and where otherwise
prohibited. These Terms & Conditions are presented in Portuguese and English, and the
Portuguese version of these Terms & Conditions will be the official document governing
this Intel IoT Roadshow event, and the Portuguese version of the Terms & Conditions will
apply to the extent there are any inconsistencies, discrepancies and/or ambiguities between
the various language versions.
In organizing the Intel IoT Roadshow event, Intel does not intend to promote its products,
trademarks and/or services, but rather Intel is seeking to teach interested students,
hobbyists, and entrepreneurial developers about the Intel Development Boards and its
software tools. The event will provide attendees with hands-on experience with Intel
products and the opportunity to interface directly with Intel engineers.

1. EVENT LOGISITICS AND ATTENDEE ELIGIBILITY
1A. LOCATION AND DATE OF EVENT. The Intel IoT Roadshow governed by these
Terms & Conditions is scheduled to take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil from November 6 7, 2015.
The Intel IoT Roadshow event may be changed, canceled or otherwise modified due to
administrative issues, business issues and/or due to problems with, or issues related to,
shipping to Brazil, export/import restrictions, taxes or import duties and other mandatory
restrictions that may vary from country to country and from time to time and/or regulations,
customs, Brazil and/or U.S. sanctions and/or other geopolitical matters or events. If any
of the above should occur, such information shall be disclosed via a notice posted on the
web site, https://iotroadshow.intel.com. Participants who have successfully applied for an
event will also be advised via the email address they provided. You acknowledge that such
rules, requirements, matters, sanctions, prohibitions and/or restrictions (i) may be altered
from time to time; (ii) are beyond the control of Intel, Agency, and Administrator;
and/or (iii) may render holding the event hereunder more difficult, burdensome and/or
impossible.
1B. ELIGIBILITY TO ATTEND. The Intel IoT Roadshow event is open to any person
with legal authorization to be in Brazil (with the exception of residents from Burma (also
known as Myanmar), Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria who are not eligible to
participate) and, at the time of the event, is at least eighteen (18) years of age and the age
of majority in the country in which you reside. It is incumbent upon each attendee to
understand his/her legal rights to attend and participate in the event.
2. PARTIES INVOLVED IN THE EVENT.
2A. SPONSOR. The “Sponsor” is Intel Corporation, 2200 Mission College Blvd., Santa
Clara, CA 95054-1549, U.S.A.
2B. ADMINISTRATOR. The administrator for the Intel IoT Roadshow event is The
Game Agency, LLC, 470 West Avenue, Suite 1001, Stamford, CT 06902, U.S.A.
(“Administrator”).
2C. AGENCY. The agency managing the Intel IoT Roadshow event at the physical venue
and whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to communicating with the
attendees, checking-in attendees, and distributing event supplies required by attendees is
Globalcode Tecnologia e Informática Ltda, Av. Bernadino de Campos, 327 cj 22 - Paraiso
- São Paulo, Brasil, CNPJ 03.281.114/0001-45 (“Agency”).
2D.
HACKER LEAGUE.
Mashery, Inc., 717 Market Street, Suite 300
San Francisco, CA 94103, is the operator of the “Hacker League” which is the website to
which attendees may be directed at the beginning of the event to submit the information
associated with their Project Submission. The URL for the Hacker League will be
announced at the event.

3. ITEMS FOR ATTENDEES TO BRING TO EVENT. Each attendee is required to
bring the following items to the event:
1. A valid, official government identification (“Government ID”) with photo to show
age and residency such as valid government-issued driver's license, National ID
Card, passport or other identification (subject to Intel’s approval). This
Government ID will be requested by an Agency representative when you first arrive
at the event to confirm your identity. For sake of clarity and avoidance of doubt
(such as duplication of names), at the Sponsor or Agency’s sole discretion,
participants may be required to present a valid Tax Payer Registration (CPF)
number in addition to the aforementioned documentation.
2. Computer with 10 GB free storage space, wired Ethernet for internet access which
runs Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 (64bits), Mac OS 10.x(64bits) or Linux (Ubuntu 12 or
similar).
Each attendee is permitted, but not required, to bring the following items to the event:
1. Your own Intel® Edison development board. No other type of development board
is permitted. The Intel® Edison development board that you bring to the event may
be a work-in-progress.
2. You may also bring any Internet of Things accessories provided that you have all
the proper licensing or use rights for any such accessories.
3. You may have on your computer any programming aids and software tools, as well
as creative assets to enhance the look and feel of the Project, provided that you have
all the proper licensing or use rights for any such programming aids, software tools
or assets.
4. OVERVIEW OF INTEL IOT ROADSHOW EVENT.
4A. SCHEDULE. Subject to changes to be announced prior to the event on the Intel IoT
Roadshow website (https://iotroadshow.intel.com) or at event, the Intel IoT Roadshow
event shall consist of the following schedule:

4B. HOW TO APPLY FOR THE IOT ROADSHOW EVENT. Subject to these Terms
& Conditions, a person wishing to apply for the opportunity to attend the Intel IoT
Roadshow event must visit the website https://iotroadshow.intel.com to identify the event
and submit an application for the opportunity to attend that event. Application for the Intel
IoT Roadshow event will begin on or about the date and local time indicated below. The
Application process for the event will close as determined by the Sponsor but no later than
ten (10) days prior to the start of the event. Space at event is limited and determined by the
responses to the questions below and the timing in which you submit your application.
Once the attendee limit is met, the online application system will be closed for the event.
Notwithstanding the closing of the application process as indicated above, Sponsor, in its
sole discretion, may re-open the online application system to accommodate fluctuations in
confirmed attendance. Persons interested in doing so, may still submit their email address
to learn about other Intel sponsored events. Walk-Ins will not be permitted. If any details
regarding the Intel IoT Roadshow event change from the information originally listed
below, Sponsor will announce such change on https://iotroadshow.intel.com and/or modify
the table below accordingly.

Intel and/or the Agency managing the event will review the responses to the above
questions to determine, at its sole discretion, which people have the most prior experience,
are most qualified to benefit from the educational content at the Intel IoT Roadshow event,
and possess the requisite hardware and software programming skills. The Agency will use
reasonable efforts to contact a prospective attendee at least ten (10) days prior to the start
of the event to invite the person to attend. The prospective attendee has five (5) days to
respond and affirm acceptance of the invitation. If prospective attendee cannot be reached
or does not respond within the allotted time, the event spot will be forfeited and the Agency
will move onto the next qualified prospective attendee. Persons selected as alternate
prospective attendees (if any) must respond and affirm acceptance of the invitation in the
time frame and as directed by Agency. At least ten (10) days prior to the event, an Agency
representative will email all people who apply as to the status of their application.
To submit his/her application, each person will be required to affirmatively check the
presented box accompanying the following acknowledgement/consent:
I understand, state and/or agree to each of the following:
(i)
I am at least 18 years of age and the age of majority in my country, state,
province and/or territory of residence ,
(ii)
to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and Sponsor’s Privacy Policy,
(iii) the personal data I submit will be transferred to servers in the United
States,
(iv)
to permit Sponsor’s use of my photographic and video likeness recorded at
the event as described in the Publicity Release section of the Terms &
Conditions (if I am selected as an attendee and I attend the event), and
(v)
the Terms & Conditions governing the Intel IoT Roadshow event are in
Portuguese.
By submitting the application form, the person consents to the use of his/her personal
information with respect to all matters related to participation in the Intel IoT
Roadshow event (including the storage, transfer and use of such personal information
as set forth in these Terms & Conditions including Section 9 titled “Publicity Release”).

4C. CHECKING IN AT THE EVENT. At the outset of an event, an Agency
representative will check you in by confirming your identity against the attendee roster.
The Agency representative will request you present a valid, official Government ID for
this confirmation. For sake of clarity and avoidance of doubt (such as duplication of
names), at the Sponsor or Agency’s sole discretion participants may be required to present
a valid Tax Payer Registration (CPF) in addition to their valid Government ID.
4D. FULFILLMENT OF AN IoT DEVELOPER KIT. Pending the availability of
inventory, the first one hundred twenty (120) participants who check-in at the event will
receive an Intel IoT Roadshow Developer Kit (“Dev Kit”) for use during the event
consisting of the following components:



An Intel® Edison Board (subject to availability)
Grove 2nd Generation Starter Kit Plus or Grove Edison Starter Kit
Sundry cables, sensors, and other accessories
Developers are required, as instructed by Intel or Agency representatives at the event, to
use parts of the Dev Kit hardware and the Dev Kit software libraries during the event.
Limit one Dev Kit per person. Sponsor and Agency reserve the right, determined in their
sole discretion, to require participants to share a Dev Kit as part of a group (rather than
individually). For example, if a participant does not receive a Dev Kit due to lack of
inventory, Agency will assign such participant to a group that has a Dev Kit or require
another individual to form a group with the participant who does not have a Dev Kit.
Sponsor and Agency also reserve the right to limit the number of Dev Kits per group
(although each group will be provided with at least one Dev Kit).
Subject to the provisions indicated in Section 10 below, at the conclusion of the event, the
Dev Kit may be retained by the attendee who originally received the Dev Kit at check-in.
5. HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HACKATHON.
5A. OVERVIEW OF STRUCTURE. Below is a brief overview of the Hackathon
structure at the Intel IoT Roadshow event.
Step 1: At the outset of the event,
 You will be asked whether you wish to participate as an individual or member
of a group.
o You can only participate the Hackathon at that event as an individual or
as a member of one group.
o If you wish to participate as part of a group, you will either be assigned
to a group of individuals as decided by Sponsor and the Agency, or
o You may form a group yourself consisting of individuals previously
known to you or from other attendees at the event.
 Once you have made the selection of participating as an individual or as a group
member, this selection (and the group that you are on) cannot be changed by
you during the event.

There is no limit on the number of people that may be included on a group.
Step 2: On or about noon of the second day of the event, all individuals and groups will
demonstrate their working development boards (each a “Project”).
Hackathon participants must be in attendance during each step of the Hackathon, including
but not limited to all the creation, demonstrating, and all announcements. Unless agreed
to in advance in writing between the Sponsor or Agency and the participant because of
extenuating critical circumstances such as illness or a family emergency, (i) the participant
who is participating in Hackathon as an individual who misses any portion of the
Hackathon will be dismissed from further participation in the event; or (ii) if the person is
participating in the Hackathon as a member of a group, the person will be dismissed, they
forego all rights to their Project and further participation in the event, but the rest of the
group members may continue their participation in the event.
5B. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT INTO THE HACKATHON. At the
beginning of the Intel IoT Roadshow event that you attend, invited attendees will be
directed to an online site called, Hacker League, (or such other site or method of Project
Submission to be announced by Intel or Agency prior to or at the event) where attendees
will be presented with an online or printed form containing fields similar to the ones listed
below, among others. Once you have built your Project (but before you demonstrate it),
you must complete the online or printed form as presented and submit it electronically or
as otherwise directed by Intel or Agency. Only one online or printed form is needed per
Project Submission (as defined below) even if participant is a group.

You will then demonstrate your Project at the time and location requested by the Agency.
Each Project demonstration must be three (3) minutes or less.

Your Project (including the demonstration of your Project) and the online form associated
with your Project are, collectively, your “Project Submission.”
Each participant (either as an individual or as a group) is permitted to submit as many
Project Submissions as he/she/they wish, so long as each is materially different from any
other Submission submitted by such individual or group.
There are no categories for the Projects. Any topic Project will be accepted (subject to
these Terms & Conditions).
By demonstrating your Project, you agree and understand that:

Your Project Submission conforms to the content Guidelines and Restrictions
(as defined and described in Section 6 of these Terms & Conditions);
Intel or Agency, in its sole discretion, may remove your Project Submission and
dismiss you from the Intel IoT Roadshow event Hackathon if it believes that
your Project Submission fails to conform to the Guidelines and Restrictions;
and
Your Project Submission in the Intel IoT Roadshow event Hackathon is subject
to these Terms & Conditions and you agree to comply with these Terms &
Conditions. Project Submissions that do not comply with these Terms &
Conditions may be dismissed.
All Project Submissions are subject to verification by the Sponsor or Agency in accordance
with these Terms & Conditions. Any attempted form of submission other than as described
herein is void. Intel, Agency, or Administrator, in accordance with these Terms &
Conditions, will determine in its sole discretion, what constitutes a valid and eligible
submission.
Intel, Agency, and Administrator are not responsible for lost, late, corrupted, incomplete,
invalid, damaged, or delayed Project Submissions (to the extent such events are not due to
the fault of Intel, Agency, or Administrator); all of which will be void and not considered.
See Section 13 of these Terms & Conditions for important information related to the
collection, storage and/or export of the personal data that you submit as part of the Intel
IoT Roadshow event.
Project Submission Deadline. Each element of your Project Submission must be
received by the day and time specified by Sponsor or Agency representative at the
beginning of the event.
6. CONTENT GUIDELINES AND RESTRICTIONS FOR PROJECT
SUBMISSIONS. By submitting your Project Submission (as defined in Section 5B)
(referred to herein as a “Submission” or a “Project”) and each portion of your Project
Submission (which is also referred to herein as a “Submission”), you agree, represent and

warrant that all of your Submissions conform to the submission content guidelines and
restrictions as listed below (“Guidelines and Restrictions”) and that Intel may dismiss you
(and/or your Submission(s)) from the Intel IoT Roadshow event Hackathon if Intel
believes, in its sole discretion, that any one of your Submissions fails to conform with the
Guidelines and Restrictions and/or any other restrictions/requirements set forth herein.
Content Guidelines:
 All Project Submissions must use the parts (though not necessarily all the parts)
in the Dev Kit hardware and the Dev Kit software libraries.
Content Restrictions:
 Your Project must not contain or allege to contain material that violates or
infringes another’s rights (whether living or deceased) including, but not
limited to, privacy, publicity or any other intellectual property rights;
 You must be the owner of your Project (including the owner of all copyrights,
logos, trademarks, trade names, designs, patents, music, sounds, images, video,
etc. in the Project) and/or otherwise obtain all rights necessary to participate in
the Intel IoT Roadshow subject to these Terms & Conditions, particularly in
Section 7;
 Your Project must not contain any Intel names, trademarks or other intellectual
property except as provided and allowed in these Terms & Conditions;
 Your Project may contain third party brand names, trademarks or other
intellectual property only if you have all necessary rights to allow you to include
such intellectual property in your Project and to allow Intel to use the Project
as contemplated and described in these Terms & Conditions. If requested,
attendee must be able to provide evidence of such rights referenced herein to
Intel in a form acceptable to Intel;
 Your Project may not contain official emblems of any country without
permission from the appropriate authority from that country;
 The Project must not disparage Intel, any Agency, Administrator, any other
person or party affiliated with the Intel IoT Roadshow or any other third party;
 The Project must not contain any viruses, worms, spyware, or other components
or instructions that are malicious, deceptive, or designed to limit or harm the
functionality of a computer or Dev Kit;
 The Project must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene,
pornographic, hateful, tortious, untruthful, inaccurate, defamatory, slanderous
or libelous;
 The Project must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or
harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race,
gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
 The Project must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or
contrary to the laws, regulations or policies in any jurisdiction where Project is
created or where the Intel IoT Roadshow event is offered;
 The Project must be an original work of the individual or a member(s) of a
group; and
 You bear the responsibility for violation of any of the above-listed obligations

and requirements which imply, but are in no way limited by, reimbursement of
inflicted damages.
7. INTEL’S USE OF PROJECT. Intel gains no ownership rights over your Project.
Submitting a Project constitutes participant’s agreement to grant Intel for administrative,
promotion and/or marketing purposes related to the Intel IoT Roadshow event, other related
events conducted by Intel, and the products and/or services of Intel, a royalty-free,
irrevocable, perpetual (or, when not legally possible, for the entire terms of duration of
intellectual property rights), non-exclusive license with the right to sub-license on a
royalty-free basis (without an attendee’s separate consent) to use and exploit all intellectual
property rights associated with the video, audio, photography, and written material
associated with a Project (including, but not limited to, the copyrights, trademarks, patent
and design rights) including without limitation, to use, adapt, reproduce, represent,
disseminate, represent, modify, translate, publish, communicate and/or broadcast to the
public and publicly display such Project in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to
incorporate it into other works or develop derivative works, in any form, media or
technology (including printed materials, Internet and notably Intel and Intel marketing
partner websites, etc.) now known or later developed. Intel may exploit the Project
industrially or commercially through, for example, the demonstration of the Project at
certain industry and/or academic events, through potential introductions at these events to
manufacturing and investment entities, through the highlighting of the Project and its
creators on the Intel Developer Zone, the Instructables and other Intel marketing partner
websites, and/or through potential introductions to other parties. Notwithstanding the
above, such license does not give Intel any right to sell the Project to a third party, or to
offer it as a value-added premium in connection with a sale or lease (though the parties
may mutually agree to this at a later time). No form of direct monetization of the Project
by Intel is permitted without the express written consent of attendee.
For the avoidance of doubt, it is noted that the compensation for the license of using and
exploiting the intellectual property rights associated with the Project is $0 US dollars.
If requested, attendee will sign any agreement or other documentation (and/or obtain the
signature from relevant third parties) that may be required for Intel to make use of the nonexclusive rights attendee is granting to use the Project (and/or that may be requested to
confirm Intel’s right to such use).
In granting Intel such license, attendee hereby represents and warrants that the Project does
not in any way infringe upon any third party’s intellectual properties (whether living or
deceased). Intellectual property ownership and rights to the Project remain with the
attendee (either with the individual or the group that created the Project) except as provided
herein. Otherwise, the attendee accepts and undertakes to hold Intel, Agency, and
Administrator harmless against any third party claims and in case the Sponsor, Agency,
and/or Administrator suffers damages due to the referred violation, attendee accepts and
undertakes to compensate the damages of Intel, Agency, and Administrator to the extent
permitted by applicable law.

To the extent permitted under applicable law, attendee consents to, and warrants that it has
procured the consent from other creators of copyright in the Project to, any acts or
omissions by the Sponsor and each of their respective successors and assigns which would
otherwise constitute an infringement of the creators' moral rights (including, in particular,
the right to maintain the integrity of the Project, moral right to first distribution and the
moral paternity right) and waives any and all such moral rights in favor of Intel (whenever
applicable and acceptable under local legislation). If requested, attendee must be able to
provide such third party consent to Intel in a form acceptable to Intel.
By creating a Project, each attendee accepts and acknowledges that Intel shall not be
obligated to use the Project and that Intel, in its sole discretion, shall have the right to
refrain from using the Project. Intel shall not incur any liability whatsoever to the extent
Intel chooses to refrain from any exploitation of its rights herein.
To the extent required by applicable law only, the consent of the attendee to grant the use
and exploitation rights to the Sponsor shall not be construed as an assignment or waiver to
any of his/her moral rights which, under applicable laws, may not constitute the object of
any transfer or waiver whatsoever.
8. NO JUDGING, RANKING OR PRIZES. During the Hackathon at the Intel IoT
Roadshow event, there will be no judging of the Projects, no awarding of prizes, nor any
ranking of one Submission against any other.
Apart from the educational learnings realized by each participant and the potential Dev Kit
offered as part of the Intel IoT Roadshow event, no monetary compensation will be paid
as part of this Intel IoT Roadshow event.
9. PUBLICITY RELEASE. Each attendee of the Intel IoT Roadshow event attests and
agrees to the following by virtue of having agreed to the Terms & Conditions at the time
of application to attend an event:
“By applying for and participating in the event, I, an attendee of an Intel IoT Roadshow
event, give full permission, irrevocably, and in perpetuity, to Intel and all its affiliates,
parent companies, and subsidiaries worldwide to use my name, image, likeness, quotes or
any portion thereof (collectively, “MY IMAGE”) as they may appear in the photos or
audios/videos recorded at the Intel IoT Roadshow event, and to distribute or display in
any and all manner and media throughout the world, including, but not limited to, print,
photograph, film, video, television, CD-ROM, DVD, and on-line computer media, such
as the Internet (including on Intel, Intel partner marketing sites, etc.).
I warrant and represent that any statements made by me to Intel are true, and portray my
honest belief and understanding about Intel and its products. I recognize that Intel’s use
of my name, image or statements may reflect on Intel’s reputation and I am not aware of
any facts that would cause any negative association. I understand that Intel is not
obligated to use nor provide compensation for any use of MY IMAGE. I further
understand that Intel does not acquire an ownership interest in my personal information
as a result of these Terms & Conditions, and agree that Intel owns all copyrights to any

photographs or audio/video footage it takes, and to any of the derivative works Intel
creates as a result of this release.
I also agree that Intel, in using MY IMAGE, or any part thereof, shall have no obligation
to identify me by name or, otherwise and, I hereby waive all rights and claims which I
may otherwise have with respect to the manner in which MY IMAGE may be used by
Intel, including, but not limited to, publicity rights, privacy rights, rights regarding
defamation of character, and all rights with respect to my approval of the materials which
may be created by Intel containing my image, regardless of whether, in my opinion MY
IMAGE is blurred, distorted, or altered, whether intentionally or otherwise.”
10. GENERAL. If for any reason (other than the negligent or willful action of Intel,
Agency, Administrator, and/or other Intel IoT Roadshow Entities) the Intel IoT Roadshow
event is not capable of running as planned, or if the Intel IoT Roadshow event, or any web
site associated with the Intel IoT Roadshow event becomes corrupted or does not allow the
proper interaction with the Intel IoT Roadshow event and processing of application and/or
Projects in accordance with these Terms & Conditions (other than due to the negligent or
willful action of Intel, Agency, Administrator, and/or other Intel IoT Roadshow Entities),
or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by
attendees (or others associated with an attendee), fraud, technical failures, or any other
causes (other than the negligent or willful action of Intel, Agency, Administrator, and/or
other Intel IoT Roadshow Entities), in the Sponsor’s sole opinion, corrupts or affects the
administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Intel IoT Roadshow
event, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to dismiss any attendee (and/or
some or all of such attendee’s application and/or Projects) implicated in such action and/or
to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Intel IoT Roadshow event, or these Terms &
Conditions, or any portion thereof.
Intel also reserves the right in its sole discretion to dismiss any individual (and all
applications and/or Projects at the Intel IoT Roadshow event (or other activities similar to
the event conducted by Intel) associated with such individual including Projects by the
group in which such individual is a member) who is found to be acting in violation of these
Terms & Conditions, or to be acting in an unsportsman-like or disruptive manner, or with
the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Intel IoT Roadshow event,
or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
Intel reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the
fullest extent permitted by applicable law. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO
DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE ASSOCIATED WITH THE INTEL IOT
ROADSHOW EVENT OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE
INTEL IOT ROADSHOW EVENT MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND
CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, INTEL RESERVES
THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING
ATTORNEYS’ FEES AND COURT COSTS) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO
THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
No incomplete, nonsensical, forged or other automated applications and/or Projects will be

accepted. Applications generated by script, macro or other automated means or by any
means which subvert the submission process are void.
At the conclusion of the event, Intel will return the Dev Kit to the attendee who originally
received it during the check-in process regardless of whether that person participated in the
Hackathon as an individual or member of a group.
Any printed materials submitted by participant during the event shall be retained by Intel.
Intel reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or
operator errors. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision, statement, sentence,
or clause of these Terms & Conditions shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any
other provision, statement, sentence, or clause. In the event that any provision, statement,
sentence, or clause is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these
Terms & Conditions shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance
with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision, statement, sentence, or clause were
not contained herein.
Intel is committed to compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and ethical
rules. This section is intended to ensure that your participation in the Intel IoT Roadshow
event will not violate any such laws, regulations, policies or rules. Intel seeks no promises
or favoritism for itself or any of its affiliates in exchange for the opportunity to participate
in the Intel IoT Roadshow event. With regard to the Intel IoT Roadshow event
(i)

you agree that your participation – including your acceptance of any Dev
Kit or potential publicity from the event – will not violate any law,
regulation, policy or rule of your country, state or government agency; and
you certify that your participation – including your acceptance of any Dev
Kit or potential publicity from the event – is not in exchange for an
agreement to influence a recent, pending or anticipated act or decision that
may result in Intel obtaining or retaining business or a business advantage.
Travel to Intel IoT Roadshow Event:
All expenses and incidental travel costs including, but not limited to, airfare, hotel
accommodations, ground transportation to and from the departing and arrivals
airports, additional ground transportation, all other transfers, hotel services (if any),
travel and medical insurance, visa requirements, spending money, personal expenses,
souvenirs, upgrades, beverages, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, airline
fees, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at
lodging, security fees, taxes, gratuities or other expenses are the responsibility solely
of the attendee. Each attendee is responsible for obtaining all required travel documents
and travel insurance prior to travel. Each participant must have valid passport and visas (if
applicable) in order to complete international travel and participate in the event and
Hackathon. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. Intel and the other
Intel IoT Roadshow Entities are not responsible if attendee is unable to attend an Intel IoT
Roadshow event, or if travel is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason. In addition,

Intel and the other Intel IoT Roadshow Entities are not responsible for any costs, fees or
expenses incurred by an attendee if Intel IoT Roadshow event is cancelled, modified and/or
rescheduled.
11.
IMPORTANT:
LIABILITY
LIMITATIONS,
RELEASE
AND
INDEMNIFICATION BY ATTENDEE. Participation in the Intel IoT Roadshow event
implies the acknowledgement by each attendee of the possibility of human error, technical
limits of the Internet and IT systems, and the occurrence of other events. In addition, where
applicable and acceptable under local legislation, each participant acknowledges and
agrees that his/her participation in the Intel IoT Roadshow event involves the risk of bodily
injury and death as well as the risk of damage or loss to property and assumes all risks
known and unknown including the risk of bodily injury (including, without limitation,
paralysis, dismemberment, and death) and the risk of damage or loss to property.
By participating in the Intel IoT Roadshow event, each attendee represents that he/she
understands that travel, whether by plane, automobile, or other conveyance, or by foot, and
in the air, as well as attendance at the Intel IoT Roadshow event itself contain some inherent
element of risk of accident, illness, injury, loss or death, which may be caused by
negligence, forces of nature, or other agencies, known or unknown.
To the extent permitted by the mandatory provision of the applicable law, Intel, Agency,
Administrator, and the other Intel IoT Roadshow Entities are not responsible for, and each
attendee hereby indemnifies, releases, and holds harmless Intel, Agency, Administrator,
and the other Intel IoT Roadshow Entities from any and all claims, losses, liabilities,
expenses (including reasonable attorney, tax and professional fees and legal expenses)
and/or damages arising from: (i) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to
the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software (including, but
not limited to, problems downloading or uploading a Project or any other Intel IoT
Roadshow-related information); (ii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any
transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any
part of the application process or the Intel IoT Roadshow event; (iv) electronic or human
error which may occur in the administration and/or operation of the Intel IoT Roadshow
event or the processing of applications; (v) printing, distribution, programming or
production errors, and any other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether human,
mechanical, electronic or otherwise; (vi) any injury (including death) or damage to persons
or property, including but not limited to attendee's computer, hardware or software, which
may be caused by (directly or indirectly, in whole or in part), or related to, the Intel IoT
Roadshow event or attendee's travel to, attendance at, and/or participation in the Intel IoT
Roadshow event; (vii) attendee’s breach, or alleged breach, of these Terms & Conditions;
and (viii) availability, use and/or performance of the Dev Kit.
NOTWITHSTANDING THE ABOVE, AN ATTENDEE IS ONLY LIABLE UNDER
THE ABOVE PROVISION IN CASE OF SUCH ATTENDEE’S NEGLIGENCE,
IMPRUDENCE, MALPRACTICE OR WILLFUL ACTING.

By participating in the Intel IoT Roadshow or using any web site associated therewith, you
agree (to the extent not precluded by applicable law) that the exclusions and limitations of
liability set out herein are reasonable.
By retaining a Dev Kit you accept that Intel does not provide any warranty on the Dev Kit.
To the fullest extent allowable by law, Intel specifically disclaims any representations or
warranties, express or implied, regarding the Dev Kit, including any implied warranty of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and implied warranties arising from
course of dealing or course of performance.
In the event the Sponsor is prevented from continuing with, or has a reasonable business
justification, to discontinue with the Intel IoT Roadshow event, or the integrity and/or
feasibility of the Intel IoT Roadshow event is undermined by any event including but not
limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike (except for a
labor dispute or strike of Intel, any Agency, or Administrator’s employees), importation,
exportation and/or inventory issues impacting the availability and/or distribution of Dev
Kits and/or other equipment, implementation of government sanctions or other restrictions
involving one or more countries (and/or residents of such country(ies)), act of God or
public enemy, satellite or technical failure, riot or civil disturbance, war (declared or
undeclared), terrorist threat or activity, or any federal, state, provincial, or local government
law, order or regulation, customs-related issue, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other
cause not reasonably within the Sponsor’s control (each a “Force Majeure” event), the
Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, lengthen, suspend,
cancel, or terminate the Intel IoT Roadshow event, or these Terms & Conditions, in whole
or in part, at any time and without further obligation except to include a notice of this on
the web site, https://iotroadshow.intel.com and via email to persons who have applied to
attend the event.
12. IMPORTANT: DISPUTES. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these
Terms & Conditions, including any question regarding its existence, validity or
termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the American
Chamber of Commerce Rules, which are deemed to be incorporated by reference into this
clause. The number of arbitrators shall be one seat, and the legal place of arbitration shall
be the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The language to be used in the arbitral proceedings shall
be English. The governing law of these Terms & Conditions shall be the substantive laws
of Brazil, depending upon whether the dispute involves a resident of Brazil.
Notwithstanding the above, if the dispute does not involve a resident of Brazil, then the
governing law of these Terms & Conditions shall be the substantive laws of the United
States and the State of Delaware. By participating in the Intel IoT Roadshow event (and
as a condition of such participating), each participant agrees that any and all disputes which
cannot be resolved between the parties, and claims and causes of action arising out of or in
connection with the Intel IoT Roadshow event, shall be resolved individually, without
resort to any form of class action. Further, unless restricted by applicable law, in any such
dispute, claim or cause of action, under no circumstances will participants be permitted to
obtain awards for and, to the extent permitted under applicable law, hereby waive all rights
to claim, indirect, punitive, special, incidental and consequential damages and any other

damages or awards (including attorneys' and other professionals’ fees), and participant
further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
13. PRIVACY AND PARTICIPANT’S PERSONAL INFORMATION. All
information submitted by attendees as part of the Intel IoT Roadshow event will be
collected by Administrator, the operator of the Hacker League or other site as described in
Section 5B (if any), and/or Agency solely on behalf of Intel in accordance with Intel’s
privacy policy, available at http://www.intel.com/privacy, in order to conduct the IoT
Roadshow event. Participation in the Intel IoT Roadshow event will be deemed to be
your explicit authorization to transfer personal data that you submit to participate in
the Intel IoT Roadshow event to the United States, all for purposes of administration
of the Intel IoT Roadshow event and associated processing, and such personal data
will be stored on a server in such country. Intel has notified the U.S. Department of
Commerce that it adheres by the rules of the Safe Harbor Framework available under
http://export.gov/safeharbor/eu/eg_main_018365.asp. Personal information includes your
name, email address, Twitter handle, mailing address, telephone number, country, state or
province, picture, likeness, voice and physical appearance, (including, but not limited to,
any of the above that may be associated with or involve your Submission and/or video and
audio recordings occurring at the event), all or some of which may be used in the discretion
of Intel, the Agency, Hacker League, and/or Administrator: (a) to contact potential (and
actual) participants regarding the Intel IoT Roadshow event or other similar events and
competitions; (b) to exploit the rights granted to Intel in Section 7 of this document; and
(c) if an participant selects to receive additional information from Sponsor at the time of
application or otherwise, to send additional information to that participant. Failure to
provide all required information may lead to the dismissal of a participant from this event.
EXCEPT AS YOU MAY HAVE OTHERWISE CONSENTED TO DURING THE
APPLICATION PROCESS (OR OTHERWISE), YOUR INFORMATION WILL NOT
BE STORED OR PROCESSED ON SERVERS LOCATED IN THE EUROPEAN
UNION, AND YOUR INFORMATION (EXCEPT THAT PROVIDED TO PUBLIC
FORUMS DURING THE INTEL IOT ROADSHOW EVENT AND YOUR VOICE AND
PHYSICAL
APPEARANCE
IN
PROJECT
SUBMISSIONS
AND
DEMONSTRATIONS, AND AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDINGS AT EVENT) WILL NOT
BE RETAINED BY INTEL, ANY AGENCY, OR ADMINISTRATOR AFTER THE
CONCLUSION OF THE INTEL IOT ROADSHOW EVENT (AND WILL BE DELETED
AS OF FEBRUARY 1, 2016, EXCEPT SUCH INFORMATION WILL BE RETAINED
SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSES SET FORTH IN (A), (B) AND (C) ABOVE.
Data may be transferred or otherwise provided to affiliates of Intel and carriers (e.g.,
Federal Express) for the purpose of running and administering the IoT Roadshow event.
14. ADDITIONAL PRIVACY REQUIREMENTS. Pursuant to the Internet Civil Act
(Law 12.965, of April 23, 2014), the storage of personal data shall preserve intimacy,
private life, honor and image of the attendee. Personal data must be used for the exact
purpose of these Terms & Conditions as set in Section 13 hereof. Attendees will have the
right to exclude their personal data, at their request, once the relationship with Intel ends.
