This thematic session aims to bring together researchers to a discussion on the latest advances in assistive technology,
biomedical and medical robotics, instrumentation and control for biomedical engineering, rehabilitation, and robots
and surgical support systems.

Relevance to the participants of the event
It will be presented experimental results of new techniques in this area of research, with an emphasis on assistive
technologies (artificial hand prostheses and orthoses of upper and lower limb), rehabilitation support equipment
(walkers, robotic exoskeleton and robotic wheelchair), biomedical and medical instrumentation and equipment, and
surgical robots.
