with PHC project from Winsig

As a standard setter in the upgrading of dangerous industrial waste in Portugal,
ECOLUB endeavours to fulfil its mission to effectively and efficiently manage lubricating
oils and establish itself as a model system regarding waste management in Portugal.

ECOLUB is aware of the importance of the use of a focused application, in terms of
internal control, but that also this response is, for all stakeholders, centred on the
search for a solution which confers security, effectiveness and trust in taking strategic
decisions. For this purpose it had to balance factors such as added value, speed of
implementation, ease of understanding and take-up, technical competence,
guarantees in terms of support and maintenance and, above all, that it integrates and
is compatible with existing systems in the company, without any interruption of its
competencies in the financial area, and its obligatory accounting reporting.
The Solution
After analysing various bids, ECOLUB opted for the solution submitted by Winsig based
on PHC software, which responded to the need to have an application focused on
internal control of customers and suppliers, and which also envisaged the need for
external validity of the system.
Through the implementation of the PHC Advanced with the PHC Management module,
the company benefited from total control of its commercial and financial areas, as well
as a high level of stability and integrity of data, making tools available which now
permit access and total internal and external control, from management information
to accounting, as well as relations with partners.
The implementation lasted only one week, and this included for adaptation to the
unique specific and actual situation of ECOLUB..

The Results
The implementation of the PHC software has contributed effectively to the
management and internal and external organisation of ECOLUB. The integration of PHC
Advanced with its own software facilitated all the company’s internal communication,
thus enabling a rapid response and access to the necessary information for
decision-taking.
This upgrade for the management of ECOLUB also has had consequences at the level
of the company’s relationship with all its stakeholders, leading to greater
approximation. There was also a significant improvement in internal productivity with
regards to the search for and interpretation of management information.
The adaptation of the solution was swift due to its high degree of intuitiveness and its
visual similarity to the best and most widespread applications on the market which, in
an initial analysis, are a facilitating factor in engagement with the application.
The company is fully satisfied with the cost/benefit ratio and with the flexibility of the
solution chosen, as well as the reliability of the partner in implementing this project,
which enables it to fully respond to its requirements regarding legal compliance and
the inherent changes to an activity which is as characteristic as that of ECOLUB.
