With over 30 years experience at the interface between government, public, private and NGO sectors, Jeff has a broad practical and theoretical understanding of national and international health and social development issues. He has extensive networks across the fields of behaviour change, health promotion, public sector communications and social marketing. He also has extensive networks across the Government and the public sector in the UK and internationally. Jeff French led the UK Government commissioned 2 year independent review into behavioural intervention and social marketing approaches that produced the 'It's Our Health!' report in 2006. The recommendations from which were subsequently accepted by the Government and directly informed adoption of a strategic social marketing approach across England. Currently he is chief executive of Strategic Social POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS GERAL Marketing Ltd and he also acts as the principal advisor to theEM National Social COM O PROFESSOR Marketing Centre, the Department of Health, the National Council for Palliative Care Dying Matters Coalition. Previously Jeff French was also the Director of Communication and Policy at the Health Development Agency (HDA) from 2000 - 2005. He is a member of the NHS Life Check Board, and the National Early Detection and Prevention of Cancer Committee, and the new Global Social Marketing Association advisory board. Jeff French is also the organizer of the World Social Marketing Conference.
