P. 330 Realidades 1 Pensar, Querer, and Preferir PREFERIR  Here we will learn the verb PREFERIR, which means “to prefer.”  But before we do, let’s look at 2 other verbs like PREFERIR. QUERER and PENSAR  Querer means…  “to want”  Pensar means…  “to plan” or “to think” QUERER and PENSAR  Querer and Pensar are “stem-changing” verbs.  They are “e > ie” stemchanging verbs. QUERER and PENSAR  The stem of “querer” is…  “quer” “quier”  The stem of “pensar” is… “piens”  “pens”  What changes? QUERER and PENSAR  Both verbs follow regular “-er and -ar” endings.  o, as, a, amos, áis, an  e, es, e, emos, éis, en QUERER and PENSAR  All forms change except the nosotros and vosotros forms.
