Design and UX
for Mobile Apps
Este workshop foi concebido por profissionais
na área de Design Digital, que atuam na
indústria nacional e internacional.
DESCRIPTION
Design for mobile devices is a relative new specialty, that still
hasn’t found professionals prepared well enough to make a smooth
transition from graphic or web design. Many of them struggle finding
the methodologies and practices that they should follow when
designing a mobile app.
duração total 16h - Aulas Teóricas /
Práticas + Projeto
To solve this issue, Javier ‘Simon’ Cuello will teach you how to
design an app from concept to UI design, working on an interactive
prototype that will include animations, gestures and transitions.
You will also learn mobile design best practices, tools, and all the
secrets you need to know to design a beautiful, useful and easy to
use mobile application for both Android and iOS.
REQUISITOS
Basic knowledge of design and use of
design tools in general.
Dominio de Inglês (Workshop em
Inglês)
Target Audience
This workshop if useful mostly for designers with
any experience on digital media. But even if you
haven’t worked on interactive projects before,
you will learn from this workshop, that has a
very ‘hands-on’ approach and uses an easy to
understand language, avoiding technical jargon.
Contents are also useful for developers who
want to complement their projects with an UX
point of view, and for entrepreneurs looking for a
way to make for real their app ideas, following a
clear order and work methodology.

Design and UX
for Mobile Apps
Syllabus
1.
Conceptualization
››How to think an idea that has value to users,
and is different from other applications in the
market.
2.
User-centered design
››Once validated the idea, we will work on
defining who the user is and what tools can
provide the app to solve his or her problem.
3.
Design wireframes
››Designing wireframes as a way to translate
the concept of the app to a tangible level, to
communicate it to others and do user testing.
4.
Test with users
››The wireframes become interactive
prototypes that let you do “guerrilla”
user testing in order to obtain data on the
usability of the app.
5.
6.
Design Style
››How to interpret the visual style of Android
and iOS to design an interface that matches
the operating system, but at the same time
stand out from the rest.
7.
Animations, transitions
and micro interactions
››How to spice up the interface to make each
element communicate, giving the importance
deserved to those little details that make the
difference.
8.
Preparing the design
››Once the interface design is finished, we will
leave everything ready for the developer, also
considering screen densities.
Designing for touch
››Specific characteristics of interface design
for touch screens: interaction zones,
minimum sizes, and design for different
screen sizes.
