Ainda no 1º trimestre, temos as units 1 e 2. Na Unit 1 vimos o PRESENT PROGRESSIVE, que é o uso do gerúndio aplicado a este momento, já. Na Unit 2 vimos o mix de PROGRESSIVE com o SIMPLE PRESENT (conteúdo do 6º ano) sendo trabalhados juntos, bem como o uso do verbo HAVE, principalmente quanto à descrição de aparência. Para estudar um idioma, o aluno deve ler, em primeiro lugar. Releia os textos que trabalhamos em nosso livro didático (sempre com um dicionário ao lado), bem como as provas de Objetivo 2 (Reading). Depois releia e refaça (reescrita) todos os Writings (Objetivo 3), prestando atenção à correção para chegar à resposta correta. Teacher Jools A) VERB TO BE “BE” has 3 different conjugations: AM, IS and ARE. ARE is the only plural conjugation. AM and IS are singular. To make the negative form of BE, you have to add NOT to the proper BE-conjugation. You can use negative contractions too. And to make interrogatives you have to remember the “pulo do gato”. How can you know what BEconjugation to use? Pay attention to the subject! B) SIMPLE PRESENT Simple Present is about ROUTINE. Simple Present’s Auxiliary verb is DO / DOES. Attention to verbs’ forms when you have HE, SHE, IT as subjects to a sentence. C) PRESENT PROGRESSIVE Present Progressive is about NOW. It is gerund, it is what is happening, what is going on at exactly this moment. Don’t forget the wise combination between VERB TO BE + ING! 1 D) HAVE / HAS We use HAVE and HAS to talk about possession, or describe physical appearance. HAVE is the original form of the verb and works with I / You / We / They. HAS works with He / She / It.
