Verb ter
The verb ter (to have) is an irregular verb.
Conjugation:

Yes, I do.
How many children do you have?
I have a son and a daughter.
In the dialog above the verb ter is used to express possession. Let’s see it in all the conjugations:

(Eu) Tenho um irmão.
(I have a brother)

Ele tem um irmão.
(He has a brother)

Ela tem um irmão.
(She has a brother)

Você tem um irmão.
(You have a brother)

(Nós) Temos um irmão. (We have a brother)

Eles têm um irmão.
(They have a brother)

Vocês têm um irmão.
(You have a brother)
It can also be used to express that someone has to do something:
The formula for this case is:
(person) + ter (conjugated according to the person) + que + verb in the infinitive form.
Examples:

(Eu) Tenho que trabalhar amanhã. (I have to work tomorrow)

Você tem que trabalhar amanhã.
(You have to work tomorrow)

Ele tem que trabalhar amanhã.
(He has have to work tomorrow)

Ela tem que trabalhar amanhã.
(She has have to work tomorrow)

A gente tem que trabalhar amanhã. (We have to have to work tomorrow)

(Nós) Temos que trabalhar a casa. (We have have to work tomorrow)

Eles têm que trabalhar amanhã.

