2006-2007 Coordinator “Science, environment and life” Project
Secondary School Jerónimo Emiliano de Andrade, Portugal, supported by National Agency for sciences and
technology, aiming to raise awareness to students by teaching of physics and chemistry through experimental
activities based on science, technology, society and environment approach. This project involved students from
7 to 12 year, allowing transversality of knowledge’s and its mobilization, as well as the use of new technologies
in particular computer, interactive graphic frames, calculators, data loggers (Texas instruments and in multi-log),
counters of radioactivity, Webcasting and use programs such as Word, Excel, power point, Windows Video
Maker etc.
2006-2007 European programme “Eurolifenet”
Azores Coordinator, Portugal. The main objective is to enable students to do science, and, to bring closer
researchers of social and environmental areas. Through this project, which aims at the systematic collection of
parameters related to air quality using the new technologies, students and teachers involved have the opportunity
to participate actively in a scientific study led by researchers from various institutions and reflect on their
attitudes where they are part of environmental problems and their solution. Technologies used: computer
graphics, calculators, sampling systems, GPS and Webcasting and webquest feature. Resorted to the use of
programs such as Word, Excel, power point, Windows Video maker, front page, etc. Project partners: Research
Centre of information technologies to a participatory democracy; the joint research centre of the European Union
(IES/JRC Institute for Environment and sustainability, Joint research centre, European Commission (Ispra,

2005 -2006 Co-Coordinator in Portugal the campaign "Save O 3 Our Sky"
Campaign promoted by the United Nations for the preservation of the ozone layer. Prepared leaflets and posters.

Coordinator of the week dedicated to renewable energies and eco-comsumption, ESJEA. Drew up an action plan
that has allowed the school become more efficient energy and more environmentally friendly. Launched several
lectures on: ozone layer, Climate Change, alternative energy, etc.
2002– 2003 “People-citizenship” Project
Co-Coordinator of the European Union People-citizenship, coordinating the primary and secondary schools
involved, promoted by the Centre for Research for information technologies to a participatory democracy,
integrated into the European programme PEOPLE promoted by the Joint Research Centre, IESJRCthe European
Union. This project has the aim of promoting citizenship through a scientific study to investigate the personal
exposure to benzene, inside and outside.
