aguardente do município de Charqueada (SP),

A family company in all senses
It is hard to say whether Usina Granelli is a family industry or
an industrial family. Its 25 years of history permeated with
challenges and obstacles have turned a small cachaça mill in
the town of Charqueada (SP) into one of the most relevant
plants in the sector.
Raw Material Cleaning
Highly sustainable and innovative by vocation, Usina Granelli
commercializes products of excellent quality, and is one of the
largest suppliers of sugarcane currently on the market. It
invests in groundbreaking technologies and develops
pioneering products, becoming a reference in the sugarcanebased energy sector.
A Usina Granelli tomou posição dianteira no processo de
mecanização da colheita e no processamento da palha da
cana. A usina firmou uma parceria com a Dedini S/A
Indústrias de Base para testar novas tecnologias e em
agosto de 2012 iniciou o funcionamento do Sistema de
Separação e Limpeza de Cana Dedini. Utilizando a
aerodinâmica, a solução visa maximizar a eficiência da
limpeza a seco com menor investimento.

Tipicamente, a linha de produção das usinas é preparada
para processar apenas o colmo da cana, que é limpo pela
queimada. Com a colheita mecanizada, no entanto, as
usinas colhem a cana crua, recebendo, junto com o colmo,
palha, folhas, raízes e muitas outras impurezas, que
danificariam os equipamentos e prejudicariam o produto
final. Com a nova solução, o colmo é devidamente limpo e
separado para ser processado e a palha, por sua vez, é
enviada à caldeira para gerar energia elétrica.
Entretanto não é sua tecnologia, nem seus
produtos que movem a Usina Granelli, e sim, as
pessoas que fazem parte da sua história e
encontram inspiração nos desafios do passado
para continuar evoluindo e se reinventando.
Xarope
Usina Granelli has taken a leading position in both the harvesting
mechanization process and the sugarcane straw processing.
The plant established a partnership with Dedini S/A Indústrias de
Base in order to test new technologies, and in August 2012
started using the Dedini sugarcane separation and cleaning
system. By making use of aerodynamics, this solution aims to
maximize the efficiency of dry cleaning with a lower investment.

abastece diversos postos de
combustíveis do interior
paulista.
Utilizando subprodutos da cana
como o bagaço e a palha, a Usina
Granelli gera energia elétrica para
abastecer todos os seus
processos industriais.
Syrup: Most of the sugarcane
processed by Usina Granelli is turned
into syrup that is used in the production
of seasonings, sauces, and amino acids.
Brandy: It is marketed through
COPACESP under various brands,
such as Caninha 51, Velho Barreiro,
among others, and exported to
several countries.
Ethanol: It is the hydrated alcohol
provided to local distributors which
supplies several gas stations in the
countryside of São Paulo state.
Energy: By using sugarcane
byproducts like bagasse and straw,
Usina Granelli generates electrical
energy to supply all its industrial
processes.

sugarcane impurities used in

gerados no processamento da cana.

subprodutos como bagaço, palha, vinhaça, cinzas da
caldeira, entre outros, refletem não apenas na redução
do impacto ambiental, mas também na melhoria das
condições de trabalho dos profissionais da Granelli,
além de diversificar o mix de produtos da empresa,
conferindo maior sustentabilidade econômica.
Generating a cleaner energy with the use of byproducts like
bagasse, straw, vinasse, boiler ash, among others, reflects not
only in the reduction of environmental impact, but also in the
improvement of working conditions for Granelli professionals.
In addition, it diversifies the company's range of products,
bringing a greater economic sustainability.
Among several sustainable initiatives of Usina Granelli, we can
point out its constant search for solutions to reduce and reuse
residues generated in the sugarcane processing.
Typically, the production line of plants is prepared to process
only the sugarcane stalk, which is cleaned through burning. With
the mechanized harvesting, however, the plants harvest the raw
sugarcane, which brings, along with the stalk, straw, leaves,
roots, and many other impurities that would damage the
equipment and affect the final product negatively. With the new
solution, the stalk is properly cleaned and separated to be
processesed, while the straw is sent to the boiler for electrical
energy generation.
