NOTICE TO THE MARKET
Abril Educação S.A. (BM&FBOVESPA: ABRE11), hereby informs its shareholders and
the market in general that, in the meeting of the Board of Directors held on October
16, Mr. Jonas Miranda Gomes resigned from his position as a Member of the Board of
Directors of the Company, to which he was elected at the Extraordinary General
Meeting Held on April 26, 2013.
Due to the vacancy of the position, the Board of Directors elected on the same date,
Mr. Florian Bartunek to occupy the position as a member of the Board of Directors, in
addition to the terms of the current mandate, which ends at the Extraordinary General
Meeting of 2015, his election must be ratified at the next Extraordinary General
Meeting to be held by the Company.
Mr. Florian Bartunek is currently a Partner and CIO at Constellation Asset
Management. Mr. Bartunek founded Constellation in 1998 and prior to that, he was a
Partner at Banco Pactual. He holds a B.S. in Business at Pontificia Universidade Católica
of Rio de Janeiro – PUC Rio (1990) and he also participates at the Harvard’s Business
School/YPO since 2010. He was also a Professor of the Value Investing course at Insper
University in São Paulo and Director of the International Department for the Brazilian
Investment Banking Association - ANBID. Mr. Bartunek participates in the Boards of
ProA, Fundação Lemann, Fundação Estudar and Brasil Insurance.
The Board of Directors thanks Mr. Jonas Miranda Gomes for his dedication and
contribution during the long period he exercised his functions and welcomes Mr.
Bartunek as a new member of the Board of Directors of Abril Educação S.A.
