STCS - RT Datasheet The “Shrinking Tube Control System – Ring Terminal” (STCS-RT) is a shrinking system for wiring harness thermoplastic protections, with control and monitoring, based on infrared resistors. DESCRIPTION BENEFITS The system has 2 independent workstations and a movable oven. Each workstation is provided with the support for tooling fixtures that can be used into a variety of small components such as ring terminals, quick disconnect terminals, small connectors, etc. Increasing productivity/ready to use. In extreme, the system only needs to be programmed once; The STCS-RT has 2 infrared quartz resistors which are controlled by a closed loop control system that monitors and adjusts the temperature constantly to ensure a constant temperature. Easy to use, easy to program. Use of labels for the shrinking time of a reference, in order to assist the operator; 2 different operating modes: continuous and pre -programmed references; Partial and global cycle counter; Each workstation can have independent parameters, such as different shrinking times, which provides great flexibility. The programming and usage of the STCS is highly user friendly, since the entire configuration is done recurring only to 5 buttons. Also, both the programming and usage of the device are assisted with visual and sound effects. Working time counter; CHARACTERISTICS The system allows to configure several parameters, such as: the working temperature, the cooling temperature, the shrinking time, etc. Minimal skills required for operating with the machine; 2 independent workstations with independent parameters, that provide increase flexibility. The operator loads the work pieces into the fixtures in one of the workstations. Each workstation has a stopper that ensures the sleeves’ position. Once the workstation is loaded, the operator presses 2 buttons and the oven automatically slide into position and performs the shrinking operation. The operator then continues with loading/unloading the other workstation, ensuring a non stopping process and increased productivity. Also, the STCS-RT allows the programming of references which during execution can be selected manually (using the keyboard or the rotating knob) or automatically (using barcode readers). With this feature, the transition between assemblies is done instantaneously. Process guarantee: the time and temperature remains unchanged during all the shrinking operations; Toll fixtures with adjustable stopper to ensure the sleeves’ position. Special maintenance mode for hardware debug; Equipped with external temperature probe connection for external reading and offset adjustment; Automatic cool-down cycle to extend the lifecycle of components; Programming mode password protected; Several configurable languages, including: English, Portuguese, French and Spanish (or others on demand); Allows the definition up to 150 references, Selection of references by barcode reader and manually; Mod: 03.02.023-A 11510-80-002-R02 Reference’s programming manually or through a PC application (that reads Excel™ files).
