O TRIPÉ DA ASSISTÊNCIA DO ENFERMEIRO DE PSF AO PORTADOR
DE TRANSTORNO MENTAL: EQUIPE, FAMÍLIA E COMUNIDADE

Resumo
A intervenção conjunta da equipe em saúde mental e o Programa
Saúde da Família (PSF) têm como estratégia atingir a meta de
substituição do confinamento nos hospitais psiquiátricos pelo
cuidado comunitário das pessoas que tem transtornos mentais. O
objetivo deste estudo foi revisar as ações do enfermeiro aos
pacientes com transtorno mental no PSF. Trata-se de uma
pesquisa descritiva com referencial bibliográfico. O presente
trabalho visa mostrar as ações do enfermeiro no PSF com relação
fatores que afetam o paciente com transtorno mental, tais como a
capacitação e supervisão da equipe que acompanha, orientação e
desenvolvimento de atividades juntamente com a família e
comunidade, além da assistência direta ao paciente na promoção,
proteção, e recuperação da saúde física e mental. Baseado no
Ministério da Saúde (MS), o enfermeiro ajuda o paciente e a família
a enfrentarem seus problemas e superarem as dificuldades,
oferecendo assim, melhor qualidade de vida a eles. Este estudo
visa à melhoria da assistência prestada ao portador de saúde
mental e os envolvidos no tratamento no Programa Saúde da
Família.

Abstract
The integrated team intervention in mental health and the “PSF”
program has in its strategy to aim to substitute the confinement in
psychiatric hospital for communitarian care for the person with
mental disturb. The objective of this study was to review nursing
action to patients with mental illness in “PSFs”. It is about a
descriptive research with bibliographical referential. The present
work aim to show nursing actions in PSF related with factors that
affects the patient with mental illness, as capacitating and
supervisioning the team which follow orientation and development
of activities together with the family and community, besides direct

assistance in the promotion, protection and recovery of physical and
mental health. Based on Heath Ministry, nurses help the patient and
the family to face problems and overcome difficulties, offering a
better life quality for them. This study focuses the improvement of
the assistance offered to the patient with mental illness and involved
in treatment in the Family Health Program.
