The White Book the Family Health Team: The Nurse Collaborating with the Workmanship Ione Carvalho Pinto, RN, MD, PhD University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing, WHO Collaborating Center for Nursing Research Development Andréia Arantes Batista Guedes, Luana Alves de Figueiredo Problem: How to utilize an unofficial health information system for the organization of the work of the nurse Evidence: As a tool for collecting data, we used semi-structured interviews with 10 nurses who work in Family Health Strategy in the municipality of Ribeirão Preto. This is a descriptive study using an exploratory, qualitative approach. Strategy: This study aimed to identify ways unofficial recorded information has been used in the organization of the work of the nurse. Practice Change: We have observed that in all family health teams that were launched, the nurse hands off other forms of registry data unofficially. Evaluation: A qualitative approach was used to describe the utilization of other forms of registry data unofficially collected and used by the nurse of the family health team. Results: We believe that the teams create other ways to record data to fill gaps left by the formal information systems so that the assistance offered is better planned and appropriate for the real needs of the family, team, and situation. Recommendations: Further study to increase the evidence of the importance of nurses utilizing informal systems of information and document other creative ways to organize the data records.
