This paper intents to describe the Portuguese Jorge Pinto de Azevedo trajectory’s as a trader
and as a contractor. It analyzes particularly the dynamic of inclusion of thy low nobility at the
Portuguese Empire. In that way, his insertion at the mercantile circuit of Minas Gerais in the 18th
century is empathized as well as his contributions in the universe of royal’s contracts. Thereby, the
success reached for this man suggests some proficuous elements for a comparative study for the
relationship established at the familiar, political and mercantile contexts in the Portuguese
America’s axis as well as in the whole Portuguese Empire.
